This study aims to improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students MAN 1 Mataram Academic Year 2012/2013 through the application of cooperative learning model and strategy learning POE (Predict Observe Explain). The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). This study was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Data on cognitive learning outcomes was obtained from PG tests and critical thinking through LKS. The subjects of the study are students of class X-1 that is 35 people. The results showed that, there is an increase in learning outcomes and students' critical thinking skills after the application of learning models. In the first cycle of classical completeness of cognitive learning results of 48.39%, the second cycle increased to 87.88%. The students' critical thinking ability in the first cycle was 67.28, and the Ikedua cycle increased to 74.62 with critical criteria. It can be concluded that cooperative learning model with POE (Predict Observe Explain) learning strategy has improved yield learning and critical thinking skills of students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa MAN 1 Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain). Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh dari tes PG dan berpikir kritis diperoleh melalui LKS yang diberikan kepada siswa. Objek pada penelitian ini yaitu MAN 1 Mataram dengan subjeknya siswa kelas X-1 yang jumlah siswanya yaitu 35 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X-1MAN 1 Mataram setelah penerapanmodel pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain). Pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 48,39 %, siklus II meningkat menjadi 87,88%. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus I sebesar 67,28, siklus II meningkat menjadi 74,62 dengan kriteria kritis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain)dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Oleh karena itu, penerapan strategi POE dalam pembelajaran fisika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar akan tetapi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sangat susah karena perlu banyak pengarah konsep dan waktu yang banyak agar pikiran siswa bisa benar-benar terarah serta baik untuk melatih siswa dalam berpikir dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan yang ada dikehidupan sehari-hari.Kata kunci: kooperatif, POE (Predict Observe Explain), hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis.
This study aims to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving to improve metacognition knowledge. This research is a quasi-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design in 25 physics education students of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Descriptive and statistical analysis using the n-gain equation and paired samples test was conducted to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of the product. Product validity was assessed by two competent experts using validation sheets and analyzed descriptively, while product effectiveness was measured after learning using essay test instruments that were analyzed descriptively and statistically using paired samples test. The results showed that the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving was valid (3.38) and reliable (0.97), while declarative knowledge (n-gain = 0.58), procedural knowledge (n-gain = 0.53), and conditional knowledge (n-gain = 0.56) was increased after learning in the medium category. Statistical test results showed that the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the students' metacognition knowledge. Based on these findings it can be concluded that the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving was valid and effective to improve students' metacognition knowledge.
This study aims to improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students SMPN 18 Mataram Academic Year 2012/2013 through the implementation of 5E learning model. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). This research is conducted in a cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data on cognitive learning outcomes were obtained from multiple choice tests and critical thinking skills using critical thinking skills tests. The subjects of the research are students of class VIII-A which is 19 people. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes and critical thinking skills due to the 5E learning model. In the first cycle of classical completeness cognitive learning outcomes is 94% and the average value of 82 is categorized completely. Furthermore, critical thinking ability in the first cycle is worth an average of 76 that is completely categorized. It can be concluded that the 5E learning model has been able to improve learning outcomes and students' creative thinking ability.Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMPN 18 Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 melalui implementasi model pembelajaran 5E. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII-A SMPN 18 Mataram setelah implementasi model pemelajaran 5E. Pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 94 % dengan nilai rata-rata 82 yang dikategorikan tuntas. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 76 yang dikategorikan tuntas. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran 5E dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Oleh karena itu, implementasi model pembelajaran 5E dalam pembelajaran fisika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar akan tetapi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sangat susah karena perlu banyak pengaruh konsep dan waktu yang banyak agar pikiran siswa bisa benar-benar terarah serta baik untuk melatih siswa dalam berpikir dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan yang ada dikehidupan sehari-hari. Pembelajaran secara daring merupakan bentuk pembelajaran di masa penyebaran Covid-19 yang dilaksanakan oleh seluruh jenjang sekolah di Indonesia. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut guru-guru harus mampu menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dan evaluasi secara online. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendukung hal tersebut dengan tujuan untuk melatih guru-guru MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang membuat soal online di google form. Permasalahan yang dialami mitra yaitu kurang memahami fungsi dan cara membuat soal evaluasi pada google form, sehingga perlu mendapatkan bimbingan dan pelatihan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan transfer of knowledge melalui workshop dan sosialiasi. Hasil dari kegitan ini yaitu 1) guru MA Al-Intishor Tanjung karang dapat memahami bermacam fungsi dari fitur pada google form. 2) guru MA Al-Intishor Tanjung karang dapat memahami pentingnya penggunaan Google Form dengan indikator bahwa guru dapat membuat soal online sendiri. Online Question Making Training on Google Form For Teachers of MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang Abstract Online learning is a form of learning during the spread of Covid-19 carried out by all levels of schools in Indonesia. To support this, teachers must be able to prepare online learning and evaluation tools. This service is carried out to support this with the aim of training MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang teachers to make online questions on the google form. The problem experienced by partners is that they do not understand the function and how to make evaluation questions on the google form, so they need to get guidance and training. The implementation method uses the transfer of knowledge through workshops and socialization. The results of this activity are 1) MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang teachers can understand the various functions of the features on the google form. 2) MA teachers at Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang can understand the importance of using Google Forms with indicators that teachers can create their own online questions.
This research aimed to know the effect of direct instruction model with contextual approach toward students concept comprehension in class XI SMA PGRI Sape. The method of this research was quasy-experimental with research design was pretest-posttest control group design. Population of this research is taken from all students in grade XI IPA. The research sample used was a class XI IPA 3 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 1 as the control class. The sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The technique of data colletion used instrument test in the form of essays. Analysis of data using homogenity, normality test, hypothesis testing. Hypothesis test (t-test) students concept comprehension obtained t = 9.67 ≥ table = 2.002.
