The explorative field observation on Environmental Conservation Psychology (ECP) is multi-diversified with collective and conjectural outlook. ECP provides a better understanding of the way in which conservation awareness, attitude, ethics, culture and well-being are affected by physical environments, social settings and built-in environment. The goal is to stimulate more attention be paid to ensure the effectiveness of environmental conservation and highlight psychological instruments required to develop new interdisciplinary approaches with innovative ways in prevailing challenges for the present and upcoming generations. Primary data were collected from a sample of respondents at the Lawachara National Park (LNP) in Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh and secondary data were obtained from diverse sources. The research denoted and investigated by various disciplines and fields including environmental behaviors studies, positive psychology, person-environment studies, human-nature science and ecological psychology. The study showed about 70% of indigenous respondents opined on positive attitudes for environmental conservation to compare with 55% in others. The study identified approximately 65% of respondents stated for development of environmental education among local communities for promoting positive psychology surrounding the national park. This study focuses the importance of understanding this multidimensional psychological research as it is to inform about the environmental conservation perspectives that have contributed to and shaped the learning with high internal conservation stability, dependability, uniformity, and attractiveness with social bonding at LNP. This study represents the environmental design, manage, protect and restore conserving of biodiversity towards national parks that influence human behavior, predict and the likely outcomes when these conditions are not met and diagnose problem situations. This study links at solving complex environmental conservation problems in the pursuit of individual well-being within a longer community through human-environment conservation interactions.
This study aims to identify the use of external support systems by counsellors located at the Council within the Islamic Religious Department in Malaysia. Data for this research was collected using a case study. The case study included an interview of five (5) registered counsellors in Islamic Organization in Malaysia. This study was based on a qualitative approach and data were analyzed using N’Vivo 7.0. The data were developed into appropriate themes and sub-themes. The study revealed that the external support system (community support, peer counsellor, Islamic law and Islamic organization) should be applied to Muslim counsellors and Muslim converts. This research could be used as a guide for a counsellor to be more robust in providing guidance and counselling services to specific clients, such as, new Muslim converts.Keywords: system support; convert clients
This article is about a case study of a pornography addict who is still in the process of selfrehabilitation. Pornography is a bad and unacceptable act because it is not only prohibited in terms of moral ethics but also in religion aspects. Pornography is also one of the trafficked forms of sexual exploitation. Other than that, law enforcement and internet filtering software seem to be not an absolute solution to the pornography issue. A module or intervention is needed to be built to guide a pornography addict rehabilitating independently on their own with the help of professionals. The methodology and the research design in this study is a case study and qualitative respectively in which the interviewee is an ex client of researcher's previous counselling session. This study forms several themes which are the causes, effects and interventions of pornography addiction. The analysis of the study also found that there are still effects of pornography addiction that disrupt the respondent's thoughts in her daily life. These factors can assist counselors in formulating effective Islamic approach to tackle the issue, whether at the level of protection, prevention or rehabilitation. The future researchers are ought to focus more on finding an intervention that relates to the conventional counselling and the perspectives of Islam which is called Islamic Cognitive Behavioral Theory.
This study was conducted to examine the level of work readiness among final year students at a public university in Malaysia. A total of 71 respondents participated in this study (N = 71), consisting of 22.5% (16) males and 77.5% (55) females. The level of work readiness was measured using the Work Readiness Inventory which looked at six areas of work readiness, namely Responsibility, Flexibility, Skills, Communication, Self-view and Health & safety. The results of this study showed that all of the students have high work readiness in all areas, except Self-view has a moderate work readiness. Out of the six areas of work readiness, only Self-view had a significant difference between genders, t = 2.46, k <.05, where male students have a higher level of work readiness (M = 3.20, SD= 0.62) than female students (M = 2.79, SD= 0.51). This study revealed that the university must act proactively and promptly as a nurture place to brush up students' self-efficacy, especially among female students.
It is significant for the reverts to have an existing helping organization. Therefore, this study aims to identify organizational issues that are directly and indirectly involved with counsellors at the Council of Islamic Religious Department in Malaysia. This study utilizes a qualitative approach by using the case study method. This study involved five (5) counsellors from Council of Islamic Religious Department in Malaysia. This study used the N'Vivo 10.0 for the data analysis to develop themes and sub-themes that related to this study. The findings showed that there are two (2) sub themes involved both government and non-government. There are six (6) sub-sub themes for the government which are Jabatan Agama Islam, Jabatan Mufti, Pusat Dakwah Islamiah, Pusat Kaunseling MAINS Negeri Sembilan, Jabatan Kehakiman and Baitulmal. While, non-government has ten (10) sub-sub themes; Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia, Unit Saudara Baru, Unit Ukhuwah, Pusat Saudara Baru Darul Saadah, Darul Ukhuwah Yayasan Kasih Sayang, Volunteer Body, Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM), PERKAMA and Skuad Mubaligh Seremban. In conclusion, this study could be used as a guide for counsellors to provide guidance and counselling services to revert clients. Keywords: Organization; support system; revert and client.
