El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar los principales factores que determinaron la productividad laboral de la rama de alimentos y bebidas de ocho economías del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asia Pacífico (APEC) en el periodo 1998-2016. Se utiliza un modelo econométrico de datos panel y se desarrollan los métodos de mínimos cuadrados dinámicos DOLS y mínimos cuadrados completa-mente modificados FMOLS. Se consideran 8 de las 21 economías que integran el APEC. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las remuneraciones al trabajo, el capital y el desarrollo tecnológico son las variables que determinaron la productividad de la rama de alimentos y bebidas de la industria manufacturera en las economías del APEC durante el periodo 1998-2016. Es la variable remuneración al trabajo la que mayor incidencia tuvo en la productividad, tanto en el modelo DOLS como en el FMOLS.
