Abstract. This paper investigates the multiple relay codedcooperation scheme based on asymmetric turbo code (ATC) with multiple receive antennas over Rayleigh block fading channels. An encoding scheme based on ATC is proposed for coded-cooperation, i.e. distributed asymmetric turbo code (DATC). The code matched interleaver (CMI) is selected by a rigorous comparison with a uniform-random interleaver (URI). This optimum choice of interleaver at the relay nodes provides maximum benefit
In this paper, we consider out-of-band radiations caused by high sidelobes in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. Suppression of sidelobes in OFDM system allows higher spectral efficiency and less interference with existing legacy systems in OFDM based overlay system. We combine different sidelobe suppression techniques to suppress the sidelobes in OFDM system. The
multiple-choice sequence (MCS) is combined with cancellation carriers (CCs) and also MCS is combined with subcarrier weighting (SW) technique. MCS is applied prior to CCs or SW techniques. Simulation results show that combining MCS with CCs and MCS with SW techniques the sidelobesin OFDM system can be significantly reduced, which allow a successful co-existance between OFDM overlay system and an existing legacy system.
List-sphere detection (LSD) is a sub-optimal multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) detection scheme which searches candidate symbol vectors that lie within a sphere of a given radius. This study presents an efficient LSD based method for a joint iterative MIMO detection scheme. The proposed method utilises a channel condition in order to define the list size. During the search process, the radius is adaptively updated to reduce the computational complexity. Owing to the list size and corresponding radius are adaptively determined by the channel condition, the authors can operate the detector at the most appropriate complexity to produce the required performance. Simulation results show that the proposed methods provide substantial complexity reduction without bit error rate performance degradation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
