BACKGROUND It is critical to evaluate the perception and preventive behavior of COVID-19 to formulate the optimal public health strategies for tackling the ongoing pandemic. This study aimed to enhance knowledge on the perception and preventive behavior toward COVID-19 among urban residents in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. METHODS A cross-sectional population-based survey was conducted from September to October 2020 using a structured questionnaire for the attendants of the six public health centers in Banda Aceh. Information about sociodemographic, perception, and preventive behavior toward COVID-19 were collected. The data were analyzed to find the association between the level of preventive behavior and covariates. RESULTS Among 1,067 respondents, 71.1% were female, 52.5% were aged between 40 and 60 years, 31.2% were university graduates, and >60% were unemployed with underlying diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiopulmonary diseases. The responses of each statement toward COVID-19 were varied. The multivariable model of covariates showed that females had good preventive behavior toward COVID-19 (adjusted OR: 1.849, 95% CI: 1.359–2.515). Urban residents in Banda Aceh with the underlying diseases had poor preventive behavior, while those with higher educational level and perception scores were more inclined to engage in good preventive behavior. CONCLUSIONS Most urban residents in Banda Aceh showed positive perception and propensity for adopting preventive measures. Health education is necessary for susceptible residents, such as males, less educated people, and people with underlying diseases. It should be stressed on specific practices and knowledge.
Abstract. Students, will not have the success of science and will not benefit from the knowledge they have, other than if they want to glorify the knowledge itself, respect the experts and exalt it. It is explained that a person will achieve success if he himself glorifies something he is looking for; so too is a person's failure because he does not want to glorify something he is looking for. According to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari in the Book of Adab Al-'Alim wal Muta'allim, the ethics of a student towards his teacher is divided into 12 ethics, namely: choosing an educator figure; looking for competent teachers; obey the educator; glorify educators; fulfill the rights of educators; positive thinking in educators; pay attention to karma when meeting educators; manners when sharing the room with educators; arranged karma on the opinion of educators; show a happy attitude and enthusiasm for learning; pay attention to manners when communicating; arranged karma in educators in all situations and conditions. KH thinking Islamic education. Hasyim Asy'ari is very relevant when placed in modern times today. The learning process takes a long and gradual one. Science will not easily apply our hearts are still dirty with immoral actions. We need to purify our hearts to learn, so that what our hearts can accept and can easily be applied in actions that reflect good morals. Every action depends on the intention. Thus it is clear from the viewpoint of Islam that students have an obligation to follow the rules or norms that are in accordance with the National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 article 12 paragraph 1. to ensure the continuity of the process and education.
Research on the thoughts of one of the figures of Islamic education with his work Tadzkiratus Sami wa al-Mutakallim fi Adabil Ilmi wa al-Mutakallim named Ibn Jama'ah, aims to find out the relevance of his thinking in the modern era related to the purpose of teaching and learning. Using library research, descriptive analysis through assessment from several literature reviews and from various other relevant sources, a thorough and in-depth picture of adab-adab or ethical procedures will be obtained to achieve teaching and learning goals as expected. Our findings suggest that there has been a decline in morale today as a result of the impact of modernization due to the lack of religious science education and moral education in learners. Ibn Jama'ah's thoughts regarding the purpose of teaching and learning are still relevant and feasible to be applied today.
The problem of abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics every year is increasing, making the government and law enforcement have difficulty in overcoming it. This research was conducted in North Aceh Regency which was motivated by the problem of still high cases of narcotics abuse, and most recently, on September 16, 2022, the North Aceh Police again failed to smuggle and distribute 20 packs of methamphetamine (21,400 gr/gross) and ecstasy pills (163,000 pills with a total weight of 32,600 gr/gross). The purpose of this study is to find out how to implement the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs number 12 of 2019 concerning the facilitation of the prevention and eradication of abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics and narcotics precursors (P4GN). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is done by three techniques, namely observation (observation), interview (interview), documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of Permendagri Number 12 of 2019 regarding P4GN facilitation has been running but has not been maximized. This is based on the preparation of regional regulations which have not yet been realized, as a result until now the action plans have only been studied. The socialization was carried out separately and not intensively between the local government of North Aceh, BNNK Lhokseumawe and the North Aceh Police. Socialization is done by means of seminars, dissemination and technical guidance. In mapping community empowerment, the North Aceh local government requires breakthroughs and innovations in drug control. For mapping the drug-prone areas, the results show that North Aceh Regency does not have an area that is free from drug abuse, in the sense that the zones mapped are mostly red and black.
