This study aims to illustrate and describe new literacy and critical thinking to support students' vocational development. This is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey approach. The number of respondents was 122 people. The questionnaire was developed to measure student’s new literacy and critical thinking. The data analysis technique used was a statistic descriptive method. The results showed: (1) the circulation of information in social media among students is very intensive, (2) the intensification of information on social media encourages students to improve the literacy model in the form of new literacy movements, (3) new literacy encourages the improvement of students’ critical thinking, (4) new literacy and critical thinking interact with each other to foster students' vocational development, especially in the formation of soft skills and (5) soft skills related to new literacy and critical thinking, namely, how to obtain, use and disseminate information. Future research requires equity related to the circulation model that can help students predict future needs. Keywords: New literacy, critical thinking, development, vocational.
The research used qualitative methods with a descriptive type to describe a case study that happened in Sailong Village. Data sampling used a purposive sampling technique, while data collection included in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Based on the results of this study, labeling the status of young widows that occurs is not necessarily interpreted as having a negative (bad) connotation. A bad “label” does not indicate that the woman cannot prove that the label is wrong and is only a stereotype, stigma, and prejudice that does not apply to every individual. Therefore, the way to overcome it is by maintaining attitudes and behavior to always be good in the broader community. Furthermore, sometimes the community defines the status of widows in general based on what they saw or encountered based on experience. When seeing or meeting a widow who is not good, the definition becomes bad. ABSTRAK Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif untuk menggambarkan studi kasus yang terjadi di Desa Sailong tersebut. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini, pelabelan yang terjadi terhadap status janda muda, sebenarnya belum tentu diartikan sebagai perempuan berkonotasi negatif (buruk). Berkaitan mengenai “Label” yang buruk bukan berarti perempuan tersebut tidak mampu membuktikan bahwa label tersebut adalah salah dan hanya sebuah stereotype, stigma dan Prejudice yang tidak berlaku untuk semua orang. Sehingga untuk mengatasinya dengan menjaga sikap dan perilaku untuk senantiasa bersikap baik di masyarakat luas sedangkan masyarakat kadang dalam mendefinisikan status janda secara umum seperti yang pernah mereka lihat atau temui berdasarkan pengalaman. Ketika melihat atau menemui seorang janda yang bersikap tidak baik, maka pendefisiniannya buruk.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan prototipe menjadi bahan ajar sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal bugis, (2) mendeskripsikan keefektifan bahan ajar sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal bugis. Penelitian ini, adalah penelitian pengembangan diuji dengan menggunakan desain pengembangan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini, dilaksanakan di Kampus Program Pascasarja Universitas Negeri Makassar, jalan Bonto Langkasa, Makassar, dengan subjek uji coba mahasiswa program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Program Pascasarja Universitas Negeri Makassar semester ganjil tahun akademik 2017/2018. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengisi lembar validasi keayakan bahan ajar dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pengembangan prototipe bahan ajar sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal bugis dikembangkan dengan prosedur pengembangan bahan ajar model ADDIE terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Uji coba lapangan bahan ajar sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal bugis dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain eskperimen one group pretest posttest design, (2) bahan ajar sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal bugis yang dikembangkan telah efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran sastra anak
The Instructional Writing Material of Opinion and Essays with Problem BasedLearning. This study aims to describe the feasibility and effectiveness of writing articles of opinion and project-based essay articles. Teaching materials were developed using the ADDIE model at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. The results showed that the d eveloped teaching materials have been feasible and effectively used in the study of opinion writing and essay. The teaching materials are worthy of use because they meet the aspects of eligibility that are content feasibility, presentation feasibility, and language feasibility. Effective teaching materials are used because there are significant differences in student learning outcomes before using and after using teaching materials. Abstrak: Bahan Ajar Menulis Opini dan Esai dengan Pembelajaran Berbasis Mas alah.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan dan keefektifan bahan ajar menulis opini dan artikel esai dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Bahan Ajar dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis opini dan esai. Bahan ajar layak digunakan karena telah memenuhi aspek kelayakan, yakni kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, dan kelayakan bahasa. Bahan ajar efektif digunakan karena terdapat perbedaan yang siginifikan hasil belajar mahasiswa sebelum meng gunakan dan setelah menggunakan bahan ajar.
Language Politeness of Teachers and Students in Class IX Indonesian Language Learning at SMP Negeri 2 Galesong, Takalar Regency. This study aims to describe the form of language politeness in interactions between teachers and students, and students and teachers. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The source of this research data is the result of interaction between students and teachers. The results of this study indicate that the form of politeness from teacher to student interaction obeys 5 forms of maxims namely, the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of appreciation, the maxim of modesty, and the maxim of sympathy. While the form of politeness from student to teacher interactions obeys 5 forms of maxims, namely, the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of agreement, the maxim of modesty, and the maxim of sympathy.
