For this reason, we think that autopsy workers have to be careful about tuberculosis during their autopsy working.

Aggression, which is defined as a behavior causing harm or pain, is a behavioral pattern typically expected in children and adolescents who are involved in criminal activities. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between aggression and self-injurious behavior (SIB) in children and adolescents. The study was performed in 295 cases which were sent for medicolegal examination. The mean age of the subjects was 14.27 ± 1.05 years (age range 10-18 years). The aggression levels of the subjects were determined using the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ), which is an updated form of the Buss-Durkee Hostility Inventory. The mean total AQ score of the subjects with and without SIB was 78.04 ± 21.0 and 62.75 ± 18.05, respectively (p < 0.01). There were significant statistical differences between the two groups with respect to their subscale scores (p < 0.01). It was concluded that the levels of aggression increased in children and adolescents who were involved in criminal activities when the SIBs increased.

Dengue is the fastest spreading arboviral infection in the world. It is responsible for about 50 to 200 million infections annually. Turkey is accepted in the World Health Organization European region and dengue is now endemic in all World Health Organization regions except for the European region, but people can travel anywhere in the world and they can catch a disease easily. Approximately 2.5 billion people live in dengue endemic countries; therefore, it may be endemic in Europe as well in the near future. It might be seen with increasing frequency in forensic mortuaries soon. In such a situation, the autopsy staff have to keep dengue virus infections in mind to protect themselves from contamination and to detect the cause of death. A case of a 65-year old Thailand citizen male who died in Turkey is presented. He had skin rashes all over the body. His internal examination revealed, 1900 ml, 1700 ml and 80 ml sero-hemorrhagic fluid in the right chest, left chest and pericardial cavities respectively. The sectional cuts of the lungs showed hemorrhagic fluid leakage. Ecchymosis due to intubation was found in the upper tracheal region. Mesocolon transversum showed hemorrhage as well. Blood test results showed Dengue Virus Immunoglobulin G (IFA) and Immunoglobulin M (IFA) positive, Japanese encephalitis virus Immunoglobulin M (IFA) negative and Immunoglobulin G (IFA) positive.

Objective:Judicial authority and expert witness approaches to the cases found dead in water have been evaluated through consideration of all information from the court files of events related with cases found dead in water and decided to be under prosecution in the area of Eskişehir province during last 10 years period. Methods:The ÖZET Amaç:Son 10 yıl içinde Eskişehir ili sı-nırları içerisinde suda bulunmuş ve adli nitelik kazanmış ölümlü olaylar hakkında, adli tahkikat dosyalarından elde edilen tüm veriler ışığında, suda bulunmuş ölümlü olaylara adli makam ve adli tıp bilirkişi yaklaşımı irdelenmiştir. Yöntemler:Eskişehir ilinde 1 Ocak 2001-31 Aralık 2010 tarihleri arasında adli nitelik kazanmış ve ölümle sonuçlanmış suda ölü bulunma olgularına ait adli tahkikat dosyaları retrospektif olarak taranmıştır. Bulgular:10 yıllık sürede toplam adli nitelik kazanmış 2615 adet ölümlü olayın 83 (% 3,2) tanesinin suda ölü bulunma şeklinde olduğu, bu 83 olgunun yaş ortalaması-nın 23,2 olduğu, 43 tanesinin (% 51,8) 19 yaş altında olduğu, 69 tanesinin (% 83,1) kaza, 11 tanesinin (% 13,2) intihar ve 3 tanesinin (%3,6) cinayet orijinli olduğu saptanmıştır.Olgular en sık yaz aylarında gö-rülmüş, 83 olgunun son yıllarda artan oranlarda da olsa 55 tanesine otopsi yapılmış olup 28 tanesinde otopsi işlemine gerek duyulmamıştır.Otopsi yapılmamış olan 28 olguda ise, savcılık makamı tarafından otopsi yapılmayıp defin kararının verilmesinde, olayın tanık ifadelerinin (n=21, %75) ve olay ile ilişkili ifadelerin varlığının (n=28, %100), önemli bir parametre olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç:Ülke genelinde azalış eğiliminde olan suda ölü bulunma olgularının, kaza veya intihar gibi ölen kişinin eylemi ile direkt olarak meydana gelebildiği gibi, cinayet gibi ikinci bir kişinin direkt etkisi ile de meydana gelebildiği akılda tutulmalı ve adli süreçte soruş-turma makamına yol gösterecek önemli parametrelerden olan otopsi işlemine, olaya ait tüm veriler ile birlikte bir bütün olarak yaklaşılmalıdır.Anahtar Kelimeler: suda ölü bulunma, suda boğulma, otopsi kararı, adli değerlendirme

Yöntemler:Erzurum Adli Tıp Şube Müdürlü-ğü tarafından otopsileri yapılan ateşli silah yaralanmasına bağlı meydana gelen ölümler retrospektif olarak incelendi. Bulgular:Yapılan 410 otopsiden %12,9'unun ateşli silah yaralanmasına bağlı ölümler olduğu saptandı. Olguların 11'i kadın, 42'si erkek olup yaş ortalaması 31,28±15,42 olarak tespit edildi. Olguların %34'ünün 20-29 yaş grubunda olduğu belirlendi. Olguların %69,8'inde kısa namlulu, % 30,2'sinde uzun namlulu silahlar kullanılmış olup, ateşli silah mermi çekirdeğine bağlı giriş deliğinin en sık baş-boyun bölgesinde (%37,7) bulunduğu tespit edildi. Olguların % 15,1'i bitişik atış, %1,9'u yakın atış, %17'si uzak atış mesafesinden vurulmuş olup, %66 olguda atış mesafesi tayini yapılamadı. Sonuç:Ruhsatlı silah alımının sınırlan-dırılması, ruhsatsız silah temininin önlenmesi ve evde silah bulundurmanın tehlikeleri hakkında toplum eğitimlerinin arttı-rılmasının önemli olduğu kanaatindeyiz.

ÖZETBu araştırmada; Eskişehir'de 2001-2010 yılları arasında meydana gelen demiryolu ölümlerine ait otopsi raporları ve adli tahkikat sonuçları değerlendirilmektedir.Bu çalışmada Eskişehir'de 2001Eskişehir'de -2010 yılları arasında meydana gelen 2615 adli nitelikli ölüm değerlendirilmiş ve bunlar içerisinden demiryollarında meydana gelen 38 ölüm olgusu (%1,5) çalışma kapsamında incelenmiştir. Olguların demografik özellikleri, otopsi ve toksikolojik inceleme bulguları ile birlikte adli tahkikat dosyalarının sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir.Olguların tümünün (n=38) olay yerinde öldüğü belirlendi. Olguların yaşları 7-72 arasındadır (yaş ort.: 37±11,2) ve %81,6'sı erkektir. Olguların %78,9'unda gövdede (göğüs ve sırt), %71,1'inde karın ve bel bölgelerinde, %81,6'inde üst ve alt ekstremitelerde yaralanmalar meydana geldiği tespit edilmiştir. Toksikolojik inceleme sonucunda 16 olgunun (%42) kanında; 21 mg/dL ile 291 mg/dL (ort. 71± 43mg/dL.) arasında etil alkol tespit edilmiştir.Otopsi ve adli tahkikat dosyalarının incelenmesi sonucunda; olguların %76,3'ünün kaza, %23,7'sinin intihar olduğu, %81,6'sının demiryolunun istasyon dışı bölümlerinde, %52,6'sının yaz aylarında, %57,9'unun Cuma-Cumartesi-Pazar günlerinde ve %57,9'unun saat 18:01-00:00 saatleri arasında hayatlarını kaybettikleri tespit edilmiştir.Demiryollarında meydana gelen ölüm oranlarının fazla olmasının nedenleri arasında; önleyici tedbirlerde eksikliklerin bulunması ve kişilerin kurallara uymaması olduğu düşünülmektedir.Anahtar kelimeler: Ulaşım, demiryolu kazaları, tren, yaya/araç çarpışmaları, ölüm, otopsi, toksikoloji. ABSTRACTThis study evaluates the judicial investigation files, autopsy findings and toxicological screening of the cases who died due to railroad accidents in Eskişehir between 2001 and 2010.In this study, 2615 forensic deaths that occurred in Eskişehir between the years 2001-2010 were assessed and 38 cases (1.5%) due to railroad accidents have been reviewed. Demographic characteristics, autopsy findings, toxicological screenings of the cases and the results of the judicial investigation files were evaluated.It was determined that all of the cases had died in the scene of accident. The ages of the cases varied between 7 and 72 (mean age: 37±11.2) years and 81.6% of the cases were male. It was observed that in 78.9% of the cases there were injuries in upper body (chest and back), in 71.1% there were injuries in both abdomen and pelvis, in 81.6% of the cases the injuries were in both upper and lower extremities. Toxicological screening revealed ethyl alcohol presence in levels between 21 mg/dL and 291 mg/dL (average of 71±43mg/dL) in 16 (42%) of the cases.After the examination of the autopsy reports and judicial investigation files; it was determined that 76.3% of the cases were due to accident and 23.7% of the cases were suicide events. It was seen that 81.6% of the cases took place outside the stations of the railroads and 52.6% occurred during summer months.
