Actualmente hay poca literatura e investigaciones relacionadas con el seguimiento de ojos (Eye Tracking) para la manipulación de robots o dispositivos mecatrónicos. Los artículos que se tienen hoy en día están enfocadas al estudio del ojo humano especialmente a la medicina, marketing y juego; sin embargo, son pocas dedicadas al control o manipulación de la tecnología (domótica, robots móviles: terrestres, aéreos o acuáticos, brazos robóticos, dispositivos mecatrónicos, entre otros). Por lo anterior, este artículo se centra en el diseño y construcción de un dispositivo mecatrónico para registrar el seguimiento ocular del ser humano con la finalidad de manipular un brazo robots de tres grados de libertad; y el desarrollo de una interfaz gráfica hombre-máquina amigable para visualizar el ojo humano y los comandos para la manipulación del robot.
Se presenta y discute un sistema de control de presión didáctico en forma de arquitectura abierta. Se instaló un controlador digital configurable y además se elaboró un controlador virtual, integrando software y hardware para crear un sistema flexible y abierto a la evolución. La estación de trabajo didáctica está diseñada para desarrollar prácticas y proyectos de investigación con diferentes controladores y sobre todo sus componentes se pueden sustituir por otros, únicamente con la condición de que manejen las señales estándares de instrumentación, con el fin de que no llegue a ser obsoleta. Equipo de laboratorio de este tipo permite comprender y conceptualizar en mejor forma los eventos que ocurren en procesos industriales y explorar los efectos de las modificaciones, estimulando la creatividad en los estudiantes.
En este trabajo se propone un sistema que permite monitorear en tiempo real el consumo de agua total en el hogar utilizando tecnologías inalámbricas y que a través de una aplicación celular (APP) de uso amigable permite llevar un seguimiento del consumo de agua. Los resultados permiten registrar y tasar el consumo de agua a nivel doméstico. El sistema se constituye por un medidor de flujo de caudal que permite monitorear el consumo de agua en la toma central de una casa habitación, los datos medidos se envían a un sistema de control que se encarga de procesar y redireccionar los datos vía Bluetooth® a una aplicación para el celular que se puede descargar e instalar fácilmente. En la propuesta se incluye una base de datos que permite guardar un historial de los datos medidos para posterior consulta por parte del usuario. La aplicación envía además (cuando está en uso) mensajes recordatorios sobre el cuidado del agua y puede emitir una alerta cuando se sobrepasa el umbral de consumo regular registrado en el hogar.
En los últimos años, las investigaciones del área de la mecatrónica están encaminadas al desarrollo de robots que ayuden al ser humano en sus actividades cotidianas. Actualmente los trabajos e investigaciones están orientados a los de robots blandos, suaves o softrobots, ya que permiten fácilmente interactuar y adaptarse a cualquier superficie. Los robots blandos tienen una estructura suave, deformables, flexibles, además son seguros comparados con los robots rígidos, sin embargo, son más difíciles de analizar la cinemático y la dinámico. En este artículo describe el estado del arte, clasificación y aplicaciones del robot suave, además se muestra a detalle el diseño y fabricación de un prototipo robot suave llamado pneunet, el diseño de estos es realizado mediante el paquete de software SolidWorks y el molde creando en una impresora 3D. El robot suave está diseñado de material suave y deformable, para que pueda tener sujeción y pueda moverse libremente por todo su espacio de trabajo sin dañar al usuario. El pneunet es construido para conocer el funcionamiento y las características morfológicas de los robots suaves.
