BACKGROUND:Research on risk assessment at industrial sites has experienced growth during the end of this year. But in Indonesia, there is still limited research on risk assessment, especially regarding the importance of measuring non-carcinogenic risk assessment in the workplace. Benzene exposure is believed to reduce levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in workers.AIM:The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between risk quotient (RQ) of non-carcinogenic risk assessment of benzene and demographic factors on IgA levels.MATERIAL AND METHODS:The subjects of the study were shoe craftsmen who were at risk of benzene exposure. The study design was cross-sectional with a total population of 20 workers. Measurement of IgA levels by Immunoturbidimetric Assay with a normal standard of 2-3 mg/ml. Calculation of non-carcinogenic (RQ) risk characteristics with a comparison between risk agent non-carcinogenic intake with RfD or RfC benzene.RESULTS:The majority of the study subjects aged over 45 years and had a working period of ≥ 25 years. There were 2 location points that had a threshold value exceeding the benzene standard (> 0.05 ppm), and 40% of the subjects had decreased IgA levels. Age and working periods had a significant relationship to IgA levels (p = 0.027; p = 0.047), while benzene and RQ levels did not have a significant relationship with IgA levels (p = 0.179; p = 0.436).CONCLUSION:Increasing age and working period can reduce IgA levels in the body. Further research is needed on risk assessment, especially on the safe limits of benzene concentration in the workplace to find out how long benzene exposure forms a non-carcinogenic or carcinogenic risk in workers’ bodies exposed to benzene.

Masa remaja adalah periode transisi dari masa anak-anak menuju masa dewasa, dimana terjadi perubahan fisik, biologis, dan psikologis. Permasalahan kesehatan pada remaja telah menjadi prioritas masalah kesehatan masyarakat di berbagai negara. HIV/AIDS merupakan salah satu isu utama kesehatan reproduksi dan seksual pada remaja. Salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk terus menekan angka kejadian HIV/AIDS adalah dengan melakukan promosi dan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi khususnya HIV/AIDS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang HIV/AIDS di Kecamatan Aikmel, Lombok Timur. Penelitian kuasi dengan rancangan pretest-postest dilakukan terhadap 30 remaja di Klinik VCT Puskesmas Kecamatan Aikmel.  Observasi dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu sebelum dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan dengan memberikan kuesioner lalu mengukur tingkat pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS. Intervensi berupa pendidikan kesehatan diberikan melalui metode ceramah dan media poster.  Tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah intervensi dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test . Terdapat pengaruh pemberian pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang HIV/AIDS di Kecamatan Aikmel (p-value<0,05). Pendidikan kesehatan yang tepat  perlu diterapkan di lingkungan keluarga dan pendidikan agar remaja memperoleh informasi yang tepat mengenai kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi

Background: Age is considered important because it determines the prognosis in childbirth, because it can cause pain (complications) for both mother and fetus. Pregnancy At the age of less than 20 years will be easier to experience complications, in the age group over 35 years is 3 times higher than the healthy reproductive age group (20-35 years). Methods: This research design is a cross sectional study. The population of this study were all mothers who gave birth at the Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok for the period of January 1 to June 30 in 2020 as many as 2,503 people. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, with a total sample of 345 people. Data analysis using Chi Square analysis.Results: The age of the mother who gave birth at the Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok, was mostly of healthy reproductive age, ie 20-35 years by 72.8%. The type of delivery in the mothers who gave birth at the Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok, the majority of mothers who gave birth normally, amounted to 60.6%. The results of the analysis obtained that the value of X2count is smaller than X2tabe1 (2.360<5.591) and the p-value of 0.307 The contingency coefficient (t) is 0.08. Conclusion: There is no relationship between maternal age and type of delivery in mothers who give birth at Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok for the period January 1 to June 30 2016..
