Voets, S., Dayatilake, G. and De Langhe, E. 1987. Nucleolar size at early stages of cotton fiber development in relation to final fiber dimension. -Physiol. Plant. 71: 436-440.Changes in nucleolar size and nucleolar vacuolation at early stages of fiber development and final fiber dimensions were determined for cotton of different species: Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. B49, Gossypium barbadense L. cv. Menoufi and Gossypiton arboreum L. cv. Vimar. Size of the nucleoius in combination with its vacuolation at an early stage of development was found to be clearly associated with the final result of fiber development.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
