This research is a qualitative multisite study using the interactive and modified analytic induction analyses. The focus of this research was the instructional supervision management at three middle schools in Blitar involving various supervisors. This research used a snowball sampling techniques with identified key information. The data was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher ensured the credibility, dependability, conformability, and transferability by doing triangulation, independent auditor and readers, reflective review, and detail indepth report. Results of this research showed that the three schools employed various supervisors including head of the education department, the education department official supervisors, principals, and senior teachers employing the integrated participative team based supervisory planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation by which principals took the main responsibility of instructional supervision. The integrated participative team based supervision management turned out to make the instructional supervision worked better, to provide satisfactory teachers' in service professional development, to make teachers performed better, to gain satisfactory results of students performance, and to gain stakeholder trusts.
This study aimed at describing the effectiveness of: (1) the context of Teachers Working Group program viewed from the relevance between the goals and objectives of its program to the needs and problems of increasing the teachers' professionalism; (2) input (feed-back) of Teachers Working Group program from the conformity of participating teachers characteristics, work programs, and its organizational capabilities in achieving program objectives based on the development standards; (3) the process of Teachers Working Group program implementation from the compatibility of tutor performance, member activity, infrastructure utilization, and its performance management based on the development standard; and (4) the effectiveness of Teachers Working Group program for improving the participating teachers' professionalism and their attitudes toward the program. This is an evaluational research by which the model included evaluation of Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) developed by Stuffle beam. The study was conducted in Cluster 1 and Cluster 4 of the Teachers Working Group in Blimbing, Malang, East Java, Indonesia, in January-April 2016. The informants were members of the board and some participating teachers, and coaches in both clusters. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using Yin model consisting of five stages, namely compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding. The findings indicated that (1) the relevance between the goals and objectives of the program to the needs and problems of teachers' professionalism improvement and the Teachers Working Group context in both groups were sufficiently effective to achieve the program objectives. The component of cluster 1 context was more effective than that of cluster 4. The objectives, the needs of teachers, and work programs of group 1 were more relevant than those of group 4; (2) In terms of the teachers' interest to program and teachers' needs of learning management, training programs, and capabilities of tutors and administrators in both groups, the input component of cluster 1 was quite effective, while cluster 4 was less effective; (3) In terms of compatibility of tutor performance, member activity, infrastructure utilization, and the group management performance, the program implementation in both groups were equally effective; and (4) In terms of the benefits of the program for the improvement of teacher Journal of Social Sciences (COES&RJ-JSS), 6(2), pp. 300-318 301 is professionalism and teacher is positive attitude towards the program in both groups, the implementation of the program in both groups was classified quite effective.
This is a single case study aiming at describing the implementation of leadership, the leadership behavior, and the implementation of participative decision making at Darushsholihin Boarding School in Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia. This descriptive qualitative research used participative observation, interview, and documentation. The interactive analysis as advised by Huberman (1992) was employed. This research concluded that the leadership implementation consisted of enhancing the staffs and teachers professionalism and the academic and non academic achievements of the students. The leadership behaviour turned to be the tendency to benchmark, to conduct leaders and teachers discussions, to grow ruchul jihad, to promote reading habits, to promote partnership with parents and related parties, and to give continuous motivation. The decision making turned out to involve principals, staffs, teachers, and the community.
This research focused on the improvement of Cakranegara playgroup childhood educational Management in Mataram, using an action research approach. The purpose of this research was to expand the childhood educational management especially in planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This qualitative research was an action research that emphasized trying out the concept of ideas into practices and was expected to enhance the quality of the Cakranegara playgroup childhood educational program. This research was started with a preliminary-study at the childhood education to capture the practices of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Data were collected by: using: (1) interview (2) observation, and (3) documentation. Results of this research showed that there was a significant improvement in the practices of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling on the basis of management theories.
Higher Education Institutions have strategic roles in developing quality human resources, science, and technologies. They are oblighted to be having good governance ropperly on the basis of the National Accreditation criteria and the good governance practices. Balitar Islamic University, the only progressive developed private university declaring as an entrepreneurial University in East Java Indonesia, appeared to have entrepreneurial change management that was important to research. This resesarch focused on the : (1) Contexts for the governance enhancement at the Balitar Islamic University, (2) Strategies for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University, (3) Conflict management for the governance at Balitar Islamic University, (4) Respon and outcome management for the governance at Balitar Islamic University, and (5) Framework of the change management for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University. The objectives of this research were: (1) To describe contexts for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University , (2) To explain strategies for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University , (3) To describe conflict management for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University, (4) To explain respons and outcome management for the governanc enhancement at Balitar Islamic University, and (5) To figure the framework of of the change management for the governance enhancement at Balitar Islamic University. Using the qualitative approach and the embeded single case study design, the researchers analyzed the phenomena. The data were collected by: (1) thorough interview, (2) documentation study, and participant observation. The data were analyzed using the interactive descriptive model (Miles and Hubberman, 1984). The data were analyzed individually in terms of the embeded case unit and then were combined for a synthesis to find the primary findings. The credibility, transferability, dependability , and objectivity of this research were checked by using only triangulation of data collection, triangulation of data sources, member check, and peer de-briefing due to the limitation of times.
