This research originated from the request of river activists in Sidoarjo to design a small boat with two people. Special requests suggested by the ship do not cause noise that can cause disturbed birds and wildlife and escape from the ship carrying surveillance over the river. As a solution, small vessels are designed with electric propulsion generated by battery cells. The main problem that will be examined is the large battery and the ship needed by a ship that can drive at sufficient speed and enough battery to carry out surveillance operations until it returns to the dock. The method used in this studio is a comparison vessel and spiral design, a ship design method that starts from the main ship size, hull formation, weight calculation, toughness, resistance, machining system, cost calculation and completion to achieve an optimal design, if wrong one failed to be repaired, it will be repeated from the beginning again. The design of the ship produced is a small boat with a length of 3 meters, a width of 1 meter, a height of 50 cm with a capacity of 2 people. The main driving force is a 1.2 kW battery to reach a minimum speed of 5 knots. Generate 35% of the remaining amount.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola tanam tumpangsari jagung dengan tanaman padi gogo pada jarak yang sesuai, mengetahui nilai kesetaraan lahan (NKL) pola tanam tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo serta melihat kelayakan usahatani tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan tanaman Monokultur, tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo jarak 3 baris, jagung dengan padi gogo jarak 6 baris dan jagung dengan padi gogo jarak 9 baris. Kemudian diulang sebanyak 6 kali, sehingga menghasilkan 24 petak perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas padi gogo yang ditanam secara monokultur dan tumpangsari dengan jagung tertinggi tanam monokultur dan jarak padi gogo 9 baris masing-masing 3.745 t ha-1 dan 3.314 t ha-1. Untuk pola tanam tumpangsari jagung dan padi gogo terhadap produktivitas jagung tidak terjadi perbedaan antara tanaman monokultur maupun jagung ditanam diantara tanaman padi gogo 3 – 9 baris. Nilai kesetaraan lahan tertinggi pada pola tanam tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo jarak 9 baris. Demkian juga hasil analisis usahatani tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo berdasarkan R/C rasio atas biaya tunai dan total tertinggi pada pola tanam tumpangsari jagung dengan padi gogo jarak 9 baris yaitu masing-masing 3,21 dan 2,29.
Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) is one of the animals that have been listed on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as one of the species that are endangered and protected. Pokmaswas Indah Lestari does conservation with semi-natural hatchery. The program has not been maximized so that the BPP (Agency for Research and Community Service) from Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Brawijaya University is create The MATICGATOR. MATICGATOR hatching percentage is higher than semi-natural hatchery. The research intend to enhance the functionality of MATICGATOR. This research used 75 samples of turtle eggs from 5 mains green turtle (chelonian mydas). The first incubation period is 45 days and the second is 66 days. Based on the results of the research, there is a positive correlation between the differences of diameter to the percentage of turtle eggs hatching success. The highest correlation obtained at mains E to 51.1% and the lowest correlation to the mains C to 15.7%. Percentage hatching on MATICGATOR is 80%.
Food is a basic need for a nation. Indonesia as an archipelago has goals and objectives to meet the food needs of individual residents. Homework is not easy to ensure food can be available equitably, not only on the large islands such as Java, but also the small islands scattered across Indonesia, which is Bawean Island. The program Kawasan Rumah Pangan Pangan Lestari for sustainable food house areas is extended in response to the condition. But unfortunately, the application is still centered on the big island. Then the Doktor Mengabdi serves Bawean Island is conducted by Universitas Brawijaya which aims to encourage the establishment of Sustainable Food House Areas in small island areas in Indonesia. The program was held in Diponggo Village, Tambak Subdistrict, Bawean Island in August - October 2018 through the initiation of the Village Seed Garden, training and mentoring of nurseries and the care of horticulture plants. The results of these activities are the establishment of village Nurseries Diponggo built mutual citizens and the team at Hillbilly Kademangan. Furthermore, nursery training and mentoring are carried out by making planting media and planting the seed of red spinach, mustard greens, chili, tomatoes, kale, eggplant, cucumber the vegetable can be used as natural nutraceutical ingredients. The community also accompanied and trained to be able to do the treatment horticulture plant. Activities are carried out with a pattern of field schools so that participants are more flexible to discuss the obstacles faced.
