The challenges of digital media in learning today are demanded better by the demands of the digital era which are increasingly high in people's lives today. Teachers provide teaching materials with traditional learning media which certainly has an impact on the asking and motivation of students in accepting and developing these lessons. So that teachers are demanded of digital development nowadays to be able to literate digital media in learning. For this reason, this study aims to reveal the digital literacy of teachers in the use of instructional media in the classroom. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Taking research subjects using purposive sampling method. The main instrument in this study was the researchers themselves who were assisted by assistive instruments in the form of depth interview guides. The study was conducted on 4 Vocational Schools consisting of 1 Vocational School in the City of Bandung, 2 Vocational Schools in West Bandung Regency, and 1 Vocational School in Bekasi Regency . The subjects of this study were productive teachers who were in the Vocational School totaling 6 teachers. This interview wanted to reveal about the types of digital media use inside and outside the classroom, the reasons for using digital media, how to use digital media and the obstacles experienced by teachers in using digital media. This research hopes to provide recommendations to vocational teachers, especially productive teachers in digital literacy, the use of learning media in schools and policy makers in schools to support digital facilities that support the learning needs of teachers and students in schools.
The purpose of this study is to obtain data from vocational school teachers about their perceptions of elearning learning activities in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Respondents are vocational teachers who conduct learning activities using e-learning. This survey uses a questionnaire that consists of teacher knowledge of elearning, the preparation, the application, and evaluation of learning using e-learning. This research is descriptive with a survey method. Researchers distributed questionnaires to vocational high school teachers in West Java using Google Form from September to October 2020. There are 15 vocational schools with a total of 82 teachers. After that, the researchers analyzed the collected data. The results show that vocational school teachers perceive e-learning learning as a learning medium using the internet network. Furthermore, for the perception of vocational school teachers in preparing for e-learning learning, 60% state that they do not encounter problems, 71% of teachers mention it is easy to implement. However, as for the perception of vocational teachers in the e-learning evaluation is 73% state that e-learning still consists of learning content that is difficult for students to understand. The findings show the necessity of vocational teachers to have sufficient preparation when implementing e-learning to achieve the learning objectives.
Electrical or thermal failure that occurred in the transformer oil can produce a dangerous gas called gas fault. By indicating the content of dissolved gases in the transformer oil, can be obtained information about what happened to the oil so it can be estimated indication of the type and cause of the failure in the transformer. The method used to identify and analyze the dissolved gases in oil is called Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA). In this study conducted by the DGA Duval Triangle method for transformer oil used in geothermal power plant UPJP Kamojang PT. Indonesia Power. The results using Duval Triangle method produces thermal failure and partial discharge.
AR development is becoming very popular in various fields of science. Some researchers have demonstrated that AR has the potential in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Puse of total AR integrated STEM needs to be studied more deeply, how STEM-AR characteristics, and how the potential of AR-based STEM to support the scientific literacy of students. Searches through relevant sources, the online database of which seven ACM Digital Library, ERIC, ieeexplore, ISI Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Springer. The results showed that the use of STEM-AR potentially an effort to improve science literacy.
The purpose of this research was to knowing why in recent years there has been an increase in the number of students who choose to continue their education to a technical vocational high school. The low involvement of women in the field of engineering technology and mathematics caused by a gender gap, the influence of negative stereotypes, culture, and character where the engineering field is more intended for men who are masculine and not by women. The research was conducted by interviewing participants who were randomly selected from female students in vocational high schools. The results showed that the reason of the participant to enter the engineering school because of economic factors with the assumption that graduates from the engineering higher employment opportunities.
This paper presents experimental results from the operation of the prototype of Pico Hydro-Solar Photovoltaic Hybrid System. This device includes a pico hydro power with a capacity of 600 VA, a 3x200 WP solar panel, 4x60Ah energy storage, solar charge controller, a 1500 W inverter, and a 15-200 watt variable load. In this experiment, measurements of the current flow and terminal voltage were carried out at the output of photovoltaic, picohydro, battery, and inverter at various different load values, ranging from 15 watts to 200 watts. Measurements are made during the day when the intensity of solar radiation is quite high. The measurement results show that the output voltage on each component is relatively stable at various load values, and the load energy requirements are supplied more by solar photovoltaic components in sunny weather and more by pico-hydro in cloudy weather.
The power transformer is an important component in the power system, as it is directly related to the reliability of the electric power system operation. Therefore, the diagnosis of disturbances in power transformers is important for device safety as well as electrical system stability. Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) is a disruptive diagnostic technique in power transformers that has been recognized effectively, because it provides knowledge of the state of the transformer based on the dissolved gas content in the transformer oil. The DGA test results can be represented by different methods such as Doernenburg ratio, Rogers ratio, IEC ratio, Duvals triangle, and key gases. The problem presented here is that two methods namely Doernenburg ratio and Rogers ratio, for the same data inputs give two different results from the error diagnosis to know the actual state of the transformer. In this paper, a combination method is proposed to solve the problem of conflict between Doernenburg ratio and Rogers ratio by utilizing multi-layer artificial neural network perceptron to localize and identify the error on the transformer and to select the most appropriate method.
A common problem in this study is that deaf students have communication problems in learning and students experience problems how to communicate with teachers. The purpose of this study is expected to be able to find out that the use of visual media in motorbike mechanics training can help the development, abilities and knowledge of deaf students. The procedure carried out was to analyze the communication skills of deaf students by interviewing deaf students by one researcher and one linguist. Five deaf students participated in this study. They are Deaf students with the classification of Profound Hearing Loss. Stage one, the Instructor provides learning without using visual multimedia. The second stage, the instructor gives an evaluation of learning to students. The third stage, is taking interview data related to how their perceptions of the learning process, namely what media should be used for deaf students. The results show that the students interviewed stated that visual multimedia with full language is very useful if used at every opportunity, be it during motorcycle training or other learning.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
