Shelf-life of fruit was significantly enhanced with minimum ripening percentage, higher number of healthy fruit percentage in Kesar mango having sp. gr. < 1.00 (M 3 ) fallowed by sp. gr. 1.00-1.02 (M 2 ). Wax coating 6 per cent (R 3 ) was effective to increasing the shelf-life of fruit, ripening days, healthy fruit per cent and minimum ripening per cent. Soft-rot diseases incidence was does not found in hot water (R 1 ) and bavistin (R 2 ) treatments. A comparative study on the effect of low temperature storage of fresh harvested mango stored at 15 0 C (T 1 ) and 20 0 C (T 2 ) was made with respect to physiological changes. Not only delay the ripening percentage with ripening day, but also increase the healthy fruit per cent in lower temperature at 15 0 C of storage temperature with 85 per cent RH up to 42 nd days of shelf-life.HOW TO CITE THIS ARTICLE : Mane, Shailendra R., Jadhav, Y.T. and Barkade, D.P. (2016). Effect of maturity indices, post-harvest treatments and storage temperature on shelf-life of mango cv. KESAR.
The studies on bio-efficacy of aphid population showed quite promising results and from the pooled data at first spray, the results revealed that all the treatments proved their superiority over untreated control showing imidacloprid 70WG as the most effective treatment followed by thiamethoxam 25 WG, fipronil 5SC and diafenthiuron 50WP. The second spray results showed that thiamethoxam 25WG, imidacloprid 70WG and fipronil 5SC proved to be the best treatments with maximum reduction of population and were found at par with each other.
On summer okra crop seasonal incidence as influenced by weather parameters on mites population reached its peak during last week of April with 8.40 mites in 6.25cm 2 leaf area/ 3 leaves. The correlation between mite population was positively significant against maximum temperature (r= 0.841**), minimum temperature (r= 0.805**), evaporation (r= 0.803**), wind velocity (r= 0.728**) and bright sunshine hours (r= 0.649*), while with morning R.H (r=-0.717**) and evening R.H (r=-0.643*) it was negatively significant. The equations of linear and multiple regression were set of mite population by working out regression coefficient (b) and constant (a) alongwith coefficient of determination (R 2
Fruit volume, physiological loss in weight of Kesar' mango gradually increased till the end of shelf-life and exhibited inversely proportional relationship with specific gravity of fruit while the maximum physiological loss in weight in immature fruits with sp.gr. less than 1.00 as compared sp.gr. more than l.00. Whereas, maximum organoleptic evaluation reported in sp.gr. more than 1.02. Dip treatment of harvested fruits in bavistin 500 ppm for 5 min. had been found to be useful for enhancing the flavour and consumer acceptability. Beneficial effect on minimizing physiological weight loss, maximum fruit volume and firmness was in wax coating (6%) followed by bavistin 500 ppm for 5 min. Delay in PLW, maximum fruit volume and firmness with lower organoleptic score were registered at 15 0 C of storage temperature with 85 per cent RH.
The bio-efficacy results obtained after first spray, from the pooled data with respect to effect of different treatments against mite infestation revealed that propargite @ 1500ml a.i./ha proved to be the best treatment showing maximum reduction of mites in 6.25cm 2 leaf area/ 3 leaves followed by fenazaquin, spiromecifen and dicofol which were also highly effective against mites indicating results at par with the best treatment in reducing mite population on okra while during second spray fenazaquin was the best pesticide followed by propargite, spiromesifen, dicofol, diafenthiuron and chlorfenapyr which were highly effective and at par with the best treatment against mites.
: Application of water soluble fertilizers and micronutrients through drip irrigation is easy, efficient and uniform method with minimum labour involvement to maximize productivity and profit in horticulture crops. The investigation entitled "Response of water soluble fertilizers in banana (Musa paradisiaca L.) cv. GRAND NAINE" was conducted at Regional Horticultural Research Station, N.A.U., Navsari during 2011-12 and 2012-13. From economic point of view, 100 per cent RDF water soluble fertilizer (W 3 ) at 15 th days interval and micronutrient Grade-IV at 3 rd , 6 th and 9 th MAP (M1) treatments gave maximum productivity per day (kg/ha) and net realization. So, 100 per cent RDF through water soluble fertilizer successfully reduced crop duration, increase yield (t/ha), maximizing productivity in kg/ha/day and net realization of banana fruit cv. GRAND NAINE.
KEY WORDS :
Clitoria ternatea L. is an excellent herbal medicinal plant. Arbusular Mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) colonization and biomass of three different tested conditions of Clitoria ternatea plant was investigated. Inoculums of indigenous AMF and Trichoderma harzianum was tested greenhouse experiment and compared with natural condition after 60th days of treatment. Percentage of Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) infection, number of resting spores and AM fungi species varies in different land. Among three different conditions, natural conditions showed maximum root colonization (75.89%) than treated one but minimum spore density (358.8/100gsoil). Highest spore density (481.6/100g soil) was found in T. harzianum treated condition followed by indigenous AMF treatment Acaulospora Glomus and Sclerocystis these three genera were found frequently. AMF inoculums and T.harzianum treatments conditions were observed promising biomass data of 60th days after treatment (DAT).When AMF are more colonized to plants then enhanced the biomass productivity.
