During the 1958 outburst of the recurrent nova RS Ophiuchi, sixcolor observations of this star were made by the writer with the Tauchmann 22-inch reflector of the Lick Observatory. An infraredsensitive Lallemand photomultiplier with a combination of filters was used. The photometer has been previously described (Kron 1958a). The observed colors were reduced to the standard six-color system by comparison with the six-color data for nonvariable stars given by Stebbins and Kron (1956).
MK spectral types are given for 80 normal early-type stars of variable radial velocity determined from spectrograms taken with the Lick Observatory 0.9-m refractor during the years 1957-58.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
