PT Trubaindo Coal Mining (PT TCM) is a coal mining company located in West Kutai, East Kalimantan.Demolition of overburden layer is done by drilling and blasting can effect results primarily blastingground vibration for highwall slope stability. Controlled blasting activities undertaken in 3000 Pit Block05 using linedrill. Vibration measurement data obtained from the reading apparatus is not necessarilya factor affecting vibration highwall slope stability, but with the direction of propagation horizontalvibrations that cause the decrease highwall slope stability. The maximum horizontal accelerationarising from blasting activities as parameters that play a role in the stability of the slope obtained bylinking the PPA with the equation Amax = 0.5167 x PPA. Therefore, to determine the effect of groundvibration due to blasting for highwall slope stability modeling needs to be done cross-section A-A ', BB',C-C ', D-D' and E-E '. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kuari tambang batuan andesit, memiliki lereng tunggal dengan ketinggian 46m-48m dengan kemiringan 860-900. Kondisi massa batuan terkekarkan dengan panjang kekar yang terekam sepanjang scanlineantar 0,5 m-17m, sedangkan spasi kekar antara 6cm-190cm. Pada kedalaman yang rendah, terjadinya longsoran lebih dikendalikan oleh adanya diskontinuitas. Kestabilan lereng penelitian ini di berdasarkan kondisi persistensi (K) bidang diskontinu. Persistensi (K) adalah rasio antara panjang kekar (JL) terhadap panjang bidang luncur, bidang luncur merupakan gabungan panjang kekar dan rock bridge. Rock bridge (RBR) didefinisikan sebagai batuan utuh yang memisahkan bidang diskontinu coplanardan non-coplanardalam massa batuan. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh persistensi bidang diskontinu terhadap kestabilan lereng maka dilakukan pemodelan persistensi dengan menggunakan JL rata-rata hasil pengukuran dan di analisis dengan metode elemen hingga (finite element). Hasil ahir penelitian diperoleh bahwa kenaikan rata-rata persistensi 10%memengaruhi penurunan faktor keamanan (FK) sebesar 6,7%, kenaikan nilai probabilitas longsor (PL) sebesar 59%, serta kenaikan tegangan normal sebesar 7,3%. Perubahan nilai FK dan PL cukup signifikan ketika persistensi lebih besar daripada 80%.
