Mullite was produced from a mixture of raw wastes with high contents of silica and aluminium hydroxides. The first were wastes from slate rocks and had muscovite, chlorite and quartz as their main crystalline phases. The second were aluminium sludges resulting from the physicochemical treatment of the wastewaters generated by aluminium surface treatment industries. As-received raw materials were weighed to produce the 2:1 alumina:silica stoichiometric mixture, corresponding to an excess of alumina relatively to the ideal 3:2 mullite composition. The nonisothermal activation energies for primary (431 kJ/mol) and secondary mullite crystallization (454 kJ/mol) were determined by differential dilatometry. Sintered products were composites of mullite and a-alumina dispersed in a glassy phase and presented flexural strengths higher than 100 MPa after sintering temperatures at 1285 8C. #
The aim of the present research work was to study the effect of mixing aluminum hydroxide sludges with wastes resulting from the cutting and polishing of dimensional stones, which have high content of alumino-silicates, in order to develop mullite. This study shows that, after sintering different mixtures to temperatures up to 1300ºC, there is an important increase of secondary mullite phase in the resultant material, particularly in the mixes 2:1 (alumina:silica ratio) simultaneously with a significant decrease of silica phases. The presence of important quantities of -alumina was also detected with the increasing of sintering temperature. Therefore the product obtained after sintering was a composite of mullite and alumina. The mullitisation behaviour was studied using X-ray diffraction and microstructural analysis, which have confirmed the increase of mullite attaining a maximum when the sintering temperature was 1270ºC. The composite formed during sintering was responsible for a flexure modulus higher than 100 MPa, with a Weibull Modulus typical of technical ceramics, without degrading other properties, like water absorption. The new developed material was found to be inert after leaching tests carried out according to DIN standard 38414.
Palavras-chave: decisão de carreira, fatores de indecisão, adolescência AbstractIn deciding individuals choose certain courses of action over others. Learning to decide is a process that intensifies in early adolescence, but little is known about the factors and their vicissitudes at this stage of development. This study tests a simplified model of career decision-making with 312 young people aged 9 to 13 years. The results showed a differentiated factorial structure. The implications of the results are discussed. Segundo Hartung e colaboradores (2...
