A compilation of titles of theses and dissertations completed in colleges and universities in the United States during 1988 is presented. The 856 titles submitted by 59 schools are listed by subject matter area and degree; each entry includes title, author, institution, and availability of the thesis or dissertation. Information about graduate research in home economics is summarized in five tables: (1) numbers of titles submitted by each school, (2) numbers and percentages of theses and dissertations by subject matter areas, (3) institutions reporting highest numbers of theses and dissertations, (4) institutions reporting highest numbers of theses and dissertations by subject matter areas, and (5) total numbers of titles by degree and subject matter area since reporting began in 1982.
