Reaction of (CÖHS^ PCI with CF3COOH yields diphenylphosphinic acid 1-diphenylphosphoryl-2,2,2-trifluoroethylester (la) as a final product, la can be hydrolized leading to (l-hydroxy-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-diphenylphosphine oxide (3a). The analogous reaction of (CeHö^PCl with C2F5COOH gives diphenylphosphinic acid -1-diphenylphosphoryl-2,2,3,3,3 -pentafluoropropylester (lb).Compounds la, lb and 3a were identified by high resolution nuclear magnetic double resonance and 31 P-Fourier transform spectroscopy.
