RESUMOOs objetos são carregados de simbolismos culturais, atravessam fronteiras e moldam-se aos costumes, materiais e modos de viver de um povo. Atravessam também o tempo, submetidos a constantes ressignificações passando do artesanal às incorporações do mundo tecnológico, industrial. Novas maneiras de brincar. Neste trabalho os brinquedos que atravessam fronteiras e se fazem presentes em diferentes culturas serão tomados como objeto de estudo. A narrativa procurou tratar o brinquedo como objetos de memória e fonte de estudos, na medida em que refletem aspectos socioculturais e econômicos. A pesquisa documental descritiva buscou aprofundar no tema e aprimoramento de ideias a respeito da potencialidade lúdica e educativa do brinquedo. Como resultado, buscou-se consolidar conhecimentos acerca do brinquedo, como objeto de memória, como subsídio para propostas educacionais no estudo da diversidade cultural da América Latina. Os dados registrados podem contribuir com novos métodos educacionais, em formação de redes que fortaleçam o conhecimento de origens e uso dos objetos de memória como recurso didático e de qualidade de vida.
Este artigo trata dos ladrilhos hidráulicos como artefatos de design que encerram memórias, dos quais se fez um inventário na cidade de Belo Horizonte, a partir de fotografias e representações vetoriais. Uma vez registrados e vetorizados, os padrões gráficos estão sendo disponibilizados em um acervo que estabelece relações com a história dos edifícios onde os ladrilhos ainda hoje estão instalados. Desta forma, busca-se contribuir para o registro da memória da cidade e de suas edificações da primeira metade do século XIX, quando os ladrilhos hidráulicos estiveram mais presentes na arquitetura, principalmente nos prédios públicos, e que atendiam ao requinte e aos padrões modernos da Nova Capital do Estado de Minas Gerais. O trabalho tem por objetivo resgatar da invisibilidade os ladrilhos hidráulicos preservados na cidade, proporcionando a revitalização dos tradicionais modelos gráficos e aplicando-os em novos produtos de arte, design e artesanato tentando relacioná-los à cidade como um território, considerando seu contexto social, cultural, político e econômico. O texto apresenta resultados parciais de pesquisa doutoral em design.
Este trabalho busca investigar os aspectos dos povos tradicionais e manejo dos recursos naturais, em função dos valores socioambientais, das comunidades ao entorno da Reserva Estadual de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Veredas do Acari, em função do artesanato. Para tanto, utiliza-se a metodologia da pesquisa-ação, por meio da realização de oficina de Design, Identidade e Cultura. Acredita-se que o design social pode contribuir com o desenvolvimento sustentável na região. A Reserva Ambiental do Acari garante a subsistência e área de vegetação, que são recursos, para as comunidades próximas à região. A comunidade deve ser orientada sobre os métodos adequados para a extração de materiais e sobre como evitar incêndios, valorizando a biodiversidade local. Em visitas técnicas, foram identificados alguns costumes relacionados com as tradições e atividades culturais. Observaram-se quais os conhecimentos de produção artesanal e conceitos sociais, culturais e ambientais, que configuram em vínculo com a produção artesanal. O material didático, para execução de oficinas, foi preparado com a participação das lideranças comunitárias. Verificou-se a compatibilidade com a realidade local, oferecendo conteúdos que pudessem auxiliar no desenvolvimento dos produtos artesanais. As atividades de reconhecimento das riquezas materiais e imateriais, desenvolvidas durante as oficinas de design, estimularam a valorização do contexto histórico e das tradições locais. Foram executadas análises sobre as riquezas culturais, e o reconhecimento do legado deixado pelos antepassados, em atividades artesanais, repassadas entre as gerações.
Methodological process of design acting based on PSS-Product Service Systems to Felipes's quilombola community from Bom Jesus do Amparo city, Minas Gerais. The team of designers was hired to study strategies and entrepreneurial initiatives focused on local development, appreciation of the culture and of the products from the territory. As a result, the project Sabores da Terra was developed with the objective of promoting a local business exploring the community's potentials. A quilombola buffet service was proposed and has as guidelines spreading the culture, exploitation o f local resources and territory appreciation. The project values the potential of afro-brazilian cuisine, present on the quilombola memory of the Community de Felipe, applying the Whole Food Usage, and the design associated to PSS as a differential when implanting sustainable activities.
