Objective: to collectively construct a fully implanted central venous catheter care protocol with nurses from a highly complex oncology center. Method: a convergent care research, conducted at a hospital qualified as a highly complex oncology care unit in Minas Gerais, Brazil, from September 2017 to January 2018. The construction of the protocol was guided by Evidence Based Practice. Initially, data was collected from client records. After that, five workshops were held with the nurses, aiming to verify the material and human resources available, besides the viable care to compose the protocol. The analysis involved processes of apprehension, synthesis, theorization and transference. Results: most of the 219 medical records evaluated from clients with fully implanted venous catheters were female (77.1%), with a mean age 49.6 years old, breast cancer, and average catheter stay of 502 days. The nurses participating in the research were female, with a mean age 30.2 years old, time since graduation of 5.2 years and experience in oncology of 4.8 years on average. During the workshops, the participants reflected on the daily routine of the service, with a theoretical and scientific basis, which allowed, considering the professionals' opinion, to verify the care evidences and the practicability of the practices in the study scenario for the construction of a protocol. Care emerged related to puncture, manipulation, salinization and catheter clearance. Conclusion: the protocol construction process involved the participation of all oncology nurses, and all the mentioned care has scientific evidence for its use.
As variáveis estresse e autoestima apresentaram correlação significativa. Method: a quantitative, correlational study with oncologist nurses. Data collection used a semi-structured script and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results: 29 female oncologists participated, the majority being female, with a mean age of 32.6 years, and the prevalence of Common Mental Disorders was 27.6%. There were the three dimensions suggestive of Burnout in 6.9% of the nurses; another 6.9% in two dimensions, and 41.4% in at least one dimension. The variables stress and self-esteem showed a significant correlation. Among these dimensions, there was a statistically significant correlation between one of them and Common Mental Disorders. Conclusion: nurses oncologists presented high level in some of the dimensions of Burnout. The contribution of this study was to point out that these professionals need measures of prevention and resolution of the Professional Exhaustion Syndrome to assist in coping with daily problems. Objectives: to construct and assess bundle content for the prevention and management of complications in neutropenia in cancer patients. Methods: a methodological study developed in four stages: scoping review; bundle construction; material assessment by experts (developed according to Pasquali’s psychometry); pilot test in a High Complexity Assistance Unit in Oncology. For content assessment, the Delphi technique was applied in two rounds and those items with Content Validation Coefficient (CVC)> 0.78 and agreement> 80.0% were considered valid. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: all bundle requirements reached agreement between judges above 80.0%, in addition to statistically significant levels of assessment. At the end of the Delphi technique, bundle was significantly valid with CVC = 0.92 and CVC = 0.93, respectively. Conclusions: bundle content proved to be valid and highly credible.
