Resumo Objetivou-se desenvolver, caracterizar e avaliar in vitro biomateriais compósitos de quitosana com hidroxiapatita (CHI/HA) para atuarem como substitutos ósseos. As quitosanas de baixa (L-CHI) e média (M-CHI) massa molecular foram previamente caracterizadas por gravimetria, viscosimetria e espectrofotometria ultravioleta. Os compósitos de CHI/HA foram produzidos por precipitação in situ, seguida de centrifugação (micropartículas) ou spray drying (nanopartículas), e caracterizados por microscopia eletrônica de varredura, espectroscopia de infravermelho com transformada de Fourier e difração de raios X. A citotoxicidade in vitro foi determinada por teste de viabilidade celular. L-CHI e M-CHI apresentaram, respectivamente, 15,7% e 16,4% de umidade, 0,51% e 0,18% de cinzas, 79,5% e 77,7% de grau de desacetilação e 4,18.104 e 17,3.104 de massa molecular média viscosimétrica. Os compósitos exibiram grupos característicos dos materiais de origem e escassa citotoxicidade. Concluiu-se que as técnicas foram eficazes para produção dos biomateriais, com características físico-químicas e biológicas adequadas para utilização nas terapias ósseas.
Resumo Objetivou-se avaliar novos biomateriais fosfatados para regeneração de defeito ósseo crítico. Distribuíram-se 45 ratos Wistar em três grupos: CON (sem implantação de biomaterial), FCB (grânulos de fosfato de cálcio bifásico: fosfato tricálcico tipo β, β-TCP/pirofosfato de cálcio) e FCB/BV (FCB/vidro bioativo fosfatado), avaliados aos 15, 45 e 120 dias de pós-operatório. No grupo CON, observaram-se neoformação óssea restrita às bordas ósseas e preenchimento do defeito por delgado tecido conjuntivo fibroso. Em FCB e FCB/BV, os grânulos preencheram toda a extensão do defeito e apresentaram maior fragmentação em FCB/BV. A neoformação óssea foi mais evidente no FCB. De permeio às partículas dos biomateriais formou-se um tecido conjuntivo frouxo, que evoluiu para fibroso em FCB. Os biomateriais desencadearam discreta reação inflamatória crônica granulomatosa, que se tornou inconspícua. Conclui-se que os materiais foram biocompatíveis, atuaram como arcabouços tridimensionais, apresentaram potencial osteocondutor e favoreceram a regeneração óssea, principalmente FCB. A adição do vidro bioativo aumentou a biodegradabilidade de FCB/BV.
RESUMOO presente estudo localiza-se no Grupo LEPEL -Estudo e Pesquisa em Educação Física, Esporte e Lazer. Está sendo desenvolvido no eixo curricular conteúdos específicos, do Curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física da UFBA e envolve estudantes da graduação e da pós-graduação. Trata do conhecimento da Ginástica, seus sentidos e significados na construção da Teoria Pedagógica, tendo como objetivo elaborar a teoria como categorias da prática, considerando as problemáticas referentes à produção do conhecimento, à formação de professores, à prática pedagógica, à política pública e às proposições superadoras. Utiliza procedimentos investigativos próprios à pesquisa matricial e problematiza o conhecimento da Ginástica. O estudo caracteriza-se como pesquisa qualitativa com dados empíricos coletados em diferentes fontes. Articula-se com a formação continuada de professores e trata da organização do trabalho pedagógico da escola. A hipótese do trabalho investigativo é que existem possibilidades concretas de tratar o conhecimento, levando em consideração os ciclos do pensamento, a partir de categorias da prática. Dados da realidade apontam, a partir das contradições do movimento de inclusão/exclusão, possibilidades de construção de uma nova cultura do trato da Ginástica no contexto da formação e da escola básica.
