Este texto está voltado à discussão da Responsabilidade Social Universitária (RSU). Considerando a influência de fatos históricos na constituição do conceito, o estudo tem por base uma pesquisa bibliográfica de caráter histórico. A discussão contempla a composição do conceito ao longo da trajetória da universidade, os fatos institucionais e a base legal no caso brasileiro. Também são discutidas as múltiplas definições de responsabilidade social presentes em estudos acadêmicos e a complexidade envolvida na adoção do conceito no âmbito das organizações universitárias. Como contribuições o estudo apresenta a sistematização contextualizada das ideias sobre a RSU, considerando os fatos relacionados a constituição do conceito, e que a temática representa um avanço nas formas de controle e mensuração da gestão das universidades. As conclusões do estudo apontam para a multidisciplinaridade do tema, considerando para tal as raízes implícitas na razão de ser da universidade e que a implantação de ações de RSU vai além de atribuições específicas do grupo responsável pela gestão deste tipo organizacional.
Este artigo objetivou analisar a produção científica nacional e internacional de 2004 a 2019 a respeito da Responsabilidade Social Universitária (RSU) e sua aplicação nas instituições de ensino superior públicas. Para isso uma revisão integrativa de literatura foi realizada na Web of Science. Os resultados revelam categorias de discussão acerca da RSU: seu conceito, aplicabilidade, formas de avaliação, e também suas contribuições e limitações para a educação superior. Apesar de a RSU estar em construção, avanços podem ser sinalizados, especialmente quanto aos impactos que promove.
A extensão constitui um dos elementos do tripé considerado fundamental na formação superior aliada ao ensino e à pesquisa. O objetivo deste artigo foi uma análise das práticas de extensão da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná – Unioeste, com foco nos projetos desenvolvidos no Curso de Administração do campus de Francisco Beltrão. A pesquisa se caracterizou como qualitativa, sendo os dados primários obtidos através de entrevistas com coordenadores dos projetos em atividade, caracterizando-se como um estudo de corte transversal. Os dados foram analisados através da análise de conteúdo. A apresentação da estrutura voltada à extensão se deu através da consulta a documentos do Conselho de Pesquisa e Ensino e Extensão (CEPE) e resoluções que regulamentam tais atividades. Complementam os dados secundários do estudo os projetos das atividades em vigência no Curso de Administração no campus Francisco Beltrão. Os resultados, sob um primeiro olhar, apontam alinhamento das práticas extensionistas da Unioeste, de forma ampla, e, especificamente, do Curso de Administração do campus Francisco Beltrão. Entretanto, em uma perspectiva crítica, o estudo revela ausência de articulação da extensão com o ensino e a pesquisa, corroborando com a fragmentação na formação superior em administração.
Este trabalho avança o corpo de conhecimento sobre o processo de empresificação de cooperativas populares no contexto brasileiro com base no estudo de caso de uma cooperativa de crédito paranaense. O estudo analisa a trajetória da cooperativa no período de 1995 a 2020, a partir da análise de documentos e entrevistas com associados e funcionários da primeira e da segunda década de atividade. A análise dos dados permitiu reconhecer três forças principais responsáveis pelo processo de empresificação e alinhamento à lógica gerencialista na cooperativa estudada: a natureza desenvolvimentista do contexto técnico em que foi constituída; o crescimento organizacional que determinou a passagem da base de serviços à cooperativa central; e a busca por maiores níveis de eficiência técnica. Os resultados do estudo avançam a base de reflexão crítica sobre o fenômeno da empresificação de cooperativas populares, indicando possibilidade e caminhos de resistência para as cooperativas que busquem se manter fiéis a seus propósitos populares originais.
