Abstrack: This School Action Research aims to uncover and describe teacher competencies in developing Lesson Plans, and implementing lesson studies. This SAR was designed with the Mc Taggart's classroom action research design in two action cycles. The research subjects were 11 elementary school teachers. The research instrument was developed by researchers in the form of work tables 1-5 to collect teacher competency data designing 10 components of lesson plans, and field notes to record the implementation of lesson study. The data collected was reduced to two main data, analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using the mean and percentage techniques. The results of SAR cycle 1 showed that the competence to design the components of the lesson plan with a C value was 50%, a competence with a B value was, and the rest of 10% need further guidance. The results of SAR cycle 2 showed that 100% of teacher could achieve B value in designing lesson plans. Thus, it is proven that lesson study can improve teacher competence in developing lesson plans.
Adolescence and gadget are inseparable these days. This research aimed at describing the characteristics of gadget user and social-religious aspect influence. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The researchers took a role as an observer dan data collector. This research was conducted on Junior High School X. It took 39 male students as the subject. The data collection was done by distributing the questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 14 items. The data obtained were arranged based on the discussion category. The findings explained: (1) the characteristics of adolescences in Junior High School X as the gadget user, gadget ownership characteristics, usage duration, how to obtain internet access, internet use, the most used application; (2) the influence of gadget use on the social life such as pornographic content, social interaction, studying concentration, and religious aspect of the adolescence. This research concludes that, based on the characteristics of the users, the gadget provides both negative and positive impacts. Furthermore, it is important to have attention and guidance by the related stakeholders to be concerned about the mental health of the adolescence as well as the social-religious aspects.
Achievement of competency is strongly influenced by learningstrategies. Learning strategies have evolved quite rapidly in linewith the development of Information and CommunicationTechnology (ICT). One of them is e-learning. E-learning hasbecome a necessity for academic society to support and provide ameans of learning. The method used is e-Learning MaturityModel (eMM). This model is based on the Capability MaturityModel (CMM) and Software Process Improvement and CapabilityDetermination (SPICE). eMM process has five categories:Learning, Development, Support, Evaluation, and Organization. Each process has a five-dimensional process, including: delivery, planning, definition, management, and optimization. eMM goal isto help institutions to assess and compare the potential ability todevelop, deploy, and support existing e-learning. Assessmentresults provide comprehensive information to be used as a guideto design strategic and operational planning and investment, ordesigning a roadmap to higher education institutions in improvingthe process of e-learning. Expected by using eMM, developmentand utilization of e-learning can be a maximum according to theneeds of students, staff, and institutions.
