ResumoOs hemangiomas vertebrais são lesões bastante freqüentes, mas raramente tornam-se sintomáticas. Há poucos casos relatados na literatura de hemangiomas vertebrais causando sintomas de compressão medular durante a gravidez. Relatamos um caso nessa situação, discutindo os aspectos diagnósticos, as manifestações clínicas, a fisiopatologia e o tratamento.
Os autores relatam caso de um paciente do sexo masculino com quadro de progressivo crescimento de tumoração frontal direita. Submetido à resseção cirúrgica completa da lesão, mostrou o anatomopatológico tratar-se de plasmocitoma. Doença rara, o plasmocitoma solitário do crânio corresponde a menos de 1% das neoplasias plasmocitárias sem disseminação sistêmica. Nosso trabalho visa à abordagem de vários aspectos desse raro tumor, enfatizando o trataemnto realizado e revisando a literautra.
