High-resolution sBe resonance spectroscopy of inorganic and organometallic compounds is discussed.Chemical shifts are found to be sensitive to environment and dependent only on local diamagnetic factors, the chemical shifts being determined by changes in the inductive effects of the groups bonded to beryllium. Proton magnetic resonance of methylberyllium species is reported and discussed. DimethylberyIlium is found to form 1:1 adducts with diethyl ether and trimethylamine at room temperature, but lowering the temperature favors formation of 2:1 adducts.
285perature. After filtration and washing, pure K[(q5-C5H5)-Fe(C0)2] is obtained as a solvent-free, free-flowing solid in 7 5 4 0 % yield. No evidence for the presence of other, more highly reduced species was found.(CO)2]2. 12154-95-9; potassium benzophenone ketyl, 19333-28-9; benzophenone, 119-61-9.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
