<p>Aproximadamente 17% a 50% das pacientes com câncer de mama (CM) sofrem de comprometimento cognitivo após a conclusão do tratamento quimioterápico. Com essas manifestações negativas, inúmeros métodos vêm sendo aplicados para minimizá-las, como terapia cognitiva comportamental, treino cognitivo, treinamento de memória, programas de exercícios resistidos e caminhada. Atualmente, a Estimulação Transcraniana por Corrente Contínua (ETCC) também está sendo cogitada como possibilidade terapêutica. Este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar, com base na literatura, os efeitos da referida estimulação nos <em>déficits</em> cognitivos decorrentes da quimioterapia em pacientes com CM. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa, com publicações dos últimos 10 anos nas bases de dados PubMed, Scielo, LILACS, <em>Science Direct</em> e Cochrane. Utilizando-se descritores em português, inglês e espanhol, indexados nas plataformas DeCS e MeSH com o auxílio do operador booleano <em>AND</em>. Ao final, 2 artigos compuseram a amostra. Os estudos evidenciaram boa tolerância e viabilidade relacionadas ao uso da corrente, bem como melhoras nos escores dos testes de cognição global, atenção, função cognitiva autorreferida e qualidade de vida. Ao passo que apontaram caminhos metodológicos e resultados favoráveis ao uso da ETCC, suscitaram novas possibilidades para futuras pesquisas. Trata-se de um método não farmacológico, de baixo custo e seguro para a população em questão.</p><p><strong></strong><strong>Palavras chave</strong>: Corrente contínua, tratamento quimioterápico, tratamento fisioterapêutico.</p>
Introdução: A dismenorreia é uma das principais causas de dores pélvicas entre mulheres em idade reprodutiva que pode comprometer a qualidade de vida feminina e gerar problema sociais e econômicos. Objetivo: Investigar a prevalência e fatores relacionados com a ocorrência de dismenorreia entre estudantes universitárias. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, observacional, de caráter transversal e abordagem quantitativa. Ao todo foram avaliadas 435 estudantes universitárias brasileiras com idade entre 18 e 48 anos que relataram dores no baixo ventre durante o período menstrual. Para coleta de dados foi utilizado um questionário online contendo perguntas sobre histórico ginecológico, características e impactos da dismenorreia, além de estratégias de manejo da dismenorreia utilizadas pelas estudantes. Resultados: Dentre as participantes, 64,83% relataram dor no período menstrual todos os meses no último semestre e 96,8% apresentaram sintomas sistêmicos associados. Para o manejo da dor, métodos farmacológicos como anticoncepcionais e analgésicos, foram citados por 87,2% das voluntárias, a maioria sem prescrição médica. Métodos não farmacológicos como calor e massagem foram descritos 59,3% da amostra. Conclusão: Apesar de diversas opções terapêuticas a dismenorreia ainda acomete uma grande proporção de universitárias brasileiras, o que exige medidas de educação em saúde voltadas para o tratamento dessas dores.
