The identified core NANDA-I, NIC, NOC, and NNN linkages for HF from this study provide scope of practice of nurses working in HF clinics.

Further research related to standardized nursing terminologies such as NANDA-I using large clinical databases from health information systems is needed to support evidence-based nursing diagnosis decision making.

Obtaining valid and comparable data from this system will be critical in improving patient safety, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Information from this study will help nurse administrators in their decision-making processes regarding managing units and staffing.
