BackgroundThe usability of electronic health (eHealth) and mobile health apps is of paramount importance as it impacts the quality of care. Methodological quality assessment is a common practice in the field of health for different designs and types of studies. However, we were unable to find a scale to assess the methodological quality of studies on the usability of eHealth products or services.ObjectiveThis study aimed to develop a scale to assess the methodological quality of studies assessing usability of mobile apps and to perform a preliminary analysis of of the scale’s feasibility, reliability, and construct validity on studies assessing usability of mobile apps, measuring aspects of physical activity.MethodsA 3-round Delphi panel was used to generate a pool of items considered important when assessing the quality of studies on the usability of mobile apps. These items were used to write the scale and the guide to assist its use. The scale was then used to assess the quality of studies on usability of mobile apps for physical activity, and it assessed in terms of feasibility, interrater reliability, and construct validity.ResultsA total of 25 experts participated in the Delphi panel, and a 15-item scale was developed. This scale was shown to be feasible (time of application mean 13.10 [SD 2.59] min), reliable (intraclass correlation coefficient=0.81; 95% CI 0.55-0.93), and able to discriminate between low- and high-quality studies (high quality: mean 9.22 [SD 0.36]; low quality: mean 6.86 [SD 0.80]; P=.01).ConclusionsThe scale that was developed can be used both to assess the methodological quality of usability studies and to inform its planning.

Palavras-chave: Estresse ocupacional; policiais militares; trabalho. AbstractStress is configured in a real threat, perceived or socially constructed. According Marras and Veloso (2012), is a process or its outcome, ranging from biological and psychological reactions to the actions arising to examine the stressor. Thus, this study was developed to identify the level of occupational stress of the Military Police of Rio Grande do Sul. We conducted a descriptive research, survey type, with a quantitative approach. Study participants totaled 519 military police belonging to cities located barracks in the state of Rio Grande do Sul Overall, there was a predominance of the average level of stress, with the following stressors with the highest average: deficiency in training for vocational training (3,51); discrimination/favoritism in the workplace (3.40); few growth prospects in career (3.37); little appreciation by superiors (3.04); and, finally, deficiency in the dissemination of information on organizational decisions (3.00).
Resumo: Objetiva-se analisar as relações entre satisfação no trabalho e estresse ocupacional na perspectiva dos policiais militares do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva, do tipo survey, com abordagem quantitativa. Participaram 519 policiais militares de 97 cidades do Rio Grande do Sul. Aplicou-se a Escala de Satisfação no Trabalho (SIQUEIRA, 2008) e a Escala de Estresse no Trabalho (PASCHOAL e TAMAYO, 2004). Identificou-se correlação negativa e estatisticamente significante entre o estresse ocupacional e a satisfação no trabalho e suas dimensões, classificando tais relações como moderadas e negativas, isto demonstra que quanto maior o estresse ocupacional, menor a satisfação no trabalho, e vice-versa. Houve associação entre a satisfação baixa e o estresse alto, e da mesma forma, houve associação entre satisfação média e estresse médio. Assim, demonstrou-se relação entre a satisfação no trabalho e o estresse ocupacional, influenciando-se inversamente. Palavras-chave: Satisfação no Trabalho, Estresse Ocupacional, Policiais Militares, Trabalho Abstract:The objective is to analyze the connection between job satisfaction and occupational stress from the perspective of the police officers of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It was conducted quantitative descriptive research, using the survey method. Five hundred and nineteen police officers from 97 cities in Rio Grande do Sul participated in the study. Two scales were used: the Satisfaction at Work Scale at Work (SIQUEIRA, 2008) and the Job Stress Scale (PASCHOAL and TAMAYO, 2004). It was identified statistically significant connection between job stress and job satisfaction and its dimensions, classifying such relationship as moderate and negative. This shows that the higher the occupational stress, the lower the job satisfaction and vice versa. There was an association between low satisfaction and high level of stress. There was also an association between average satisfaction and medium level stress. Thus, it was demonstrated the relationship between job satisfaction and occupational stress, one aspect influencing the other. Local dynamics play a key role in individual and collective empowerment for digital literacy and citizenship. This paper presents the results and reflections from a broader investigation into the public Internet access places in Portugal in the inland municipalities of the country's coast, undertaken by ObLID Network. Specifically, we intend to reflect on the actual mission of these places and reveal the actual profile, activities and training needs of their monitors and coordinators. In the first stage of the empirical study, several documents available on the Internet Spaces Network are analyzed. In the second stage, a questionnaire was applied to monitors and coordinators of the Internet access places, in seventeen Portuguese municipalities. The research results warn of the need to redefine and clarify the social and educational value of Internet spaces, indicating that the dominant activities of monitors in the Internet access places do not induce the foster of literacy and digital inclusion of the most vulnerable groups. In this context, actions are proposed that can contribute to improving the mission of Internet places, as well as the training quality of their monitors and coordinators. Internet Access Spaces, made available by municipalities, should be used to promote digital literacy programs, for individuals and groups.
