RESUMOO paracetamol é um dos analgésicos mais utilizados no mundo. Sendo as formas farmacêuticas, comprimidos e gotas as mais comuns. Este trabalho teve como objetivo principal o estudo comparativo da qualidade de comprimidos de paracetamol 750 mg, referência, genérico e similar de três diferentes fabricantes comercializados no estado de Pernambuco, sendo codificados como R, G1, G2 e S. As análises foram realizadas em conformidade com a monografia do paracetamol comprimido, descrita na Farmacopeia Brasileira (2010). Foram também, comparados os perfis de dissolução dos medicamentos testes frente ao de referência (Tylenol®). Os genéricos G1 e G2 foram aprovados em todos os testes físicos e de doseamento a que foram submetidos, pois apresentam qualidade quando comparados ao medicamento de referência, entretanto o G2 apresentou fatores de semelhança (f2) e diferença (f1) fora dos parâmetros especificados. O Similar S, apesar de estar com uma maior dureza e uma maior variação do peso médio, em relação aos demais medicamentos testados foi aprovado nos demais testes físico-químicos, incluindo doseamento e perfil de dissolução.Palavras-chave: Paracetamol; medicamentos; analgésicos; controle de qualidade. INTRODUÇÃOO paracetamol, também chamado de acetaminofeno ou N-acetil-paminofenol, é o analgésico e antitérmico mais utilizado nos dias atuais. 10 Seu principal uso é no tratamento de dores tanto leves quanto moderadas, quando não há necessidade de efeito anti-inflamatório.
