Artikel ini mengkaji penelitian terkait pandangan orang tua terhadap pendidikan seks untuk anak usia dini. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya tindak kejahatan seksual bagi anak. Salah satu faktor yang diasumsikan sebagai penyebab adalah kurangnya informasi kepada anak terkait dengan tindakan pencegahan dan pertahanan diri yang dapat diberikan dalam pendidikan seks bagi anak. Pendidikan seks bagi anak sendiri masih dianggap tabu di kalangan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan melibatkan empat orang responden yang terdiri dari dua orang ibu dan dua orang ayah. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memiliki pandangan tentang pentingnya pendidikan seks bagi anak, namun masih terbatas pada pengenalan jenis kelamin anak sebagai perempuan atau laki-laki. Adapun rekomendasi yang diberikan yaitu orang tua hendaknya mencari informasi yang akurat dan tepat tentang berbagai cara dan metode pengenalan pendidikan seks bagi anak yang sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangannya.
This paper discusses the implementation of reduce, reuse and recycle waste activities for elementary school students as one of the after school care programs. The problem that underlies this study is the lack of concern for the natural environment, especially in waste management in the school environment. The research used the action research method involving one teacher and 20 children aged 6-8 years who participated in the after school care program in elementary schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study describe the implementation stages of the Reduce, Reuse and Secycle (3R) activities including the introduction of the program provided by the teacher through animated video media, discussion of the 3R program with children, direct practice of sorting and recycling waste in the school environment, and evaluation of the implementation of the 3R program. Other results also describe that children able to identify categories of organic, inorganic and hazardous waste, as well as the emergence of children’s caring attitudes towards waste management in the school environment.
Artikel ini merupakan artikel penelitian terkait penerapan after school care bagi anak sekolah dasar, salah satunya melalui implementasi program anak peduli lingkungan melalui kegiatan memilah sampah di SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Tujuan penerapan program ini adalah untuk mengenalkan anak terkait permasalahan di lingkungan sekitar dan sebagai upaya menanamkan kepedulian anak terhadap lingkungan alam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dimana penulis bermaksud mendeskripsikan proses penerapan kegiatan memilah sampah yang telah dilaksanakan di SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Adapun kesimpulan dalam artikel ini merujuk program anak peduli lingkungan sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran bagi anak sekolah dasar yang bertujuan untuk menanamkan kepedulian anak terhadap kelestrarian lingkungan.
This research is influenced by the character problems in children whose discipline shown by frequent late of arrival to school that often impede the learning process in school. Many efforts have been made by the teachers to be able to resolve these issues, i.e. developing an appropriate learning model and by using various techniques including a game. Thus, the research aims to examine teacher's perspective on a game 'Siapa Cepat Dia Dapat (SCDD)' and identify some challenges in implementing the game. The method used in this research is a case study of three teachers from three kindergarten in Indramayu who have been using Budaya Karakter Bangsa dan Bermain learning model and use the "Siapa Cepat Dia Dapat (SCDD)" game. The data were collected by using interviews and teachers'daily notes, and analyzed descriptively based on specific themes. The results revealed that the teachers agreed that the SCDD game of Budaya Karakter Bangsa dan Bermain model could improve the discipline of the child, thus the kids can be present in the school punctually. As for the game itself, it has some variations in the implementation, and most of the cases shown a supporting effort to the child's discipline. There are some challenges for the teachers in the implementation of the game are on the child's adaptation from their initial habits which sometimes made them confuse. It is explained by the other challenge that parents'motivated to children's discipline will determine child'punctuallity at the school. Thus, teacher-parents 'session in parenting is needed prior to the implementation of the SCDD game towards the kids. It optimise significantly the development of children's discipline.
