The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability of vocational students in understanding the concept of Rotational Dynamics. This study used qualitative methods with 10 respondents consisting of high, medium and low categories. Instruments in this study used essay test with 6 questions and interview. The results of this study showed that students' conceptual understanding in rotational dynamics was low. Students were still having difficulties in understanding the concept of Rotational Dynamics, namely in determining angular velocity, inertia moment equation, and solving equations. Then it is better to understand the concept needs to be applied in the learning process. So it can be concluded that conceptual understanding approach needs to be applied in the learning process.
Metacognition and literacy skills are important in the 2013 curriculum because both things belong to 21st century expertises. The purpose of this study is to determine the metacognition and scientific literacy skills of the students in SMK Andalusia 1 Wonosobo in the 2018/2019 teaching year. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of the research show that students' metacognition abilities are still relatively low, especially in monitoring and evaluation indicators. Meanwhile, the scientific literacy skills shows that the average achievement reaches up to 89% in knowledge aspect. The results of these studies indicate that the results between metacognition skills are different from the scientific literacy ones. These results can also be used as a reference for developing better competencies by improving or creating innovations in the classroom learnings.
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah smua siswa kelas X semester II. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Kelas X-2 sebagi kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Siswa di kelas eksperimen berjumlah 27 orang dan di kelas kontrol sebanyak 24 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa essay tes sebanyak 10 soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t setelah data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa ada pengaruh model PBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok suhu dan kalor. The purpose of this study is to analyze the IT literacy skills of Vocational students in the implementation of Electronics Workbench (EWB) learning media in Semarang City. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a survey method. This research was conducted in four Vocational High Schools in Semarang City with high and low categories. The subject of this study is determined by purposive sampling technique. Measuring instruments in this study uses test essay questions, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the analysis shows that the students' literacy capabilities based on 5 test results. They are understanding how to access internet information obtained (91.2%), understanding how to use the computer, understanding how to print work results and identifying internet information (83.4%) and presenting the results that have been worked out (75%). From the results of questionnaires and interviews, it can be concluded that EWB media greatly helped teachers and students to advance their IT literacy skills.
