Tujuan Penelitian: (1) untuk melihat sikap siswa terhadap IPA , (2) melihat disiplin siswa terhadap IPA, dan (3) untuk melihat hubungan antara sikap dan disiplin terhadap IPA pada siswa SMP di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metodologi: penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan dilaksanakan metode survey, Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 191 siswa SMP dengan instrument yang digunakan adalah angket. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Temuan utama: (1) sikap siswa terhadap IPA memiliki kategori baik dan sikap positif, (2) disiplin siswa terhadap IPA juga menunjukkan hasil kategori baik dengan disiplin positif, dan (3) Sedangkan korelasi antara sikap dan disiplin siswa terhadap IPA menunjukkan hubungan dengan nilai: 0,000 dan memilki derajat korelasi yang kuat dengan nilai “pearson correlation” = 0,707. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan karakter sikap siswa terhadap IPA dan disiplin siswa terhadap IPA menunjukkan kategori positif dan baik. Keterbaruan penelitian: Sikap terhadap IPA (sains) adalah kemampuan siswa dalam menilai dan menanggapi IPA/sains. Disiplin terhadap IPA adalah kebiasaan siswa untuk berperilaku secara konsisten dan dilakukan berulang-ulang terhadap IPA, maka dari itu sikap dan karakter disiplin yang baik wajib dimiliki oleh siswa
Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan melalui penerapan senyum, salam, sapa (3S) dalam layanan sirkualsi Metode: Penelitian dilaksanakan di Perpustakaan Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdapat kegiatan perencanaan, tindakan, evaluasi dan refleksi. Langkah-langkah yang dilaksanakan dalam penerapan 3S meliputi: awal penerimaan, penerimaan dan akhir penerimaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kolaboratif antara peneliti sebagai observer dengan petugas perpustakaan sebagai pemberi layanan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi angket, observasi, wawancara, dan daftar chek. Temuan Utama: Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh presentase kepuasan pelanggan sebelum pelaksanaan layanan adalah 48% dengan tingkatan sedang, kemudian meningkat sebesar 17% menjadi 67% dengan tingkatan tinggi pada siklus I dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 14% menjadi 81% berada pada tingkatan tinggi. Kebaruan/Originalitas penelitian ini: keterbaruan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui tingkat kepuasan melalui penerapan 3S dalam layanan perpustakanan universitas jambi.
The ability of library staff in building visitors’ trust and assurance determines customer satisfaction and service quality. The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of customer satisfaction through the application of smiling and greeting in circulation service at the library of Jambi University. This research is a service action research. The subjects were 30 students of Jambi University. This research was conducted in two cycles, using steps in action research which included planning, action, evaluation and reflection. This research was conducted collaboratively between researchers as observers and library staff as service providers. Data collection techniques used in this study include questionnaires, observations, interviews, and check lists. The result of this study obtained the percentage of customer satisfaction before the implementation of service is 48% with a moderate level, then increased by 17% to 67% with a high level in the first cycle and in the second cycle increased by 14% to 81% which is the highest level achieved due to morning greetings with hands folded in front of the chest, smiling teeth and small talks that ask questions related to customers’ personal.
