The purpose of this research is to describe the vibration sensor media as a learning medium for sprint competitions for blind children and to assist teachers and students in learning using vibration sensor media. This research was conducted in several steps, namely: identifying potentials and problems, gathering information, product design, product manufacturing, expert validation, product revision, testing, final production. This vibration sensor media as a learning medium for sprint competitions was first validated by material experts and media experts. Product trials were carried out on blind children in DPD Pertuni Medan with a population of 6 respondents. The small group test was 2 respondents, while the large group test was 6 respondents. This type of data collection used a questionnaire instrument. The results showed that the vibration sensor that has been made for learning sprint competitions was feasible. These results were obtained from the validation results of a) material experts at 92.5% or very feasible; b) media expert of 86.66% or Very feasible; c) small group trial of 92.5% or very feasible; d) large group trial with a result of 95% or very feasible. The vibration sensor media has been declared fit to use as a learning media for vibration sensor media.
Energy sources for athletes based on their movement patterns come from aerobic and anaerobic metabolism which have the potential to produce lactic acid. The increase in lactic acid causes the pH to decrease so that ATP formation is disturbed and causes pain in the muscles. This situation can affect an athlete’s performance. The antioxidants contained in red dragon fruit can reduce free radicals due to exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving red dragon fruit on reducing levels of lactic acid in an athlete’s blood plasma The subjects were 20 persons, male, who were qualified as athletes, non-smokers and no consumption of supplement as long as the research. The subjects were split into two group, randomly. Group RE; had activity regular exercise and no red dragon fruit given. Group RE+RD; had activity regular exercise and obtained juice from red dragon fruit. The RDF team was given regular exercise and received red dragon fruit juice. Regular exercise combination antioxidant red dragon fruit antioxidants must maintain the anaerobic threshold value to prevent fatigue due to lactic acid.
Anaerobic physical activity is a high physical activity because the muscles contract in anaerobic conditions. The energy used by ATP through the process of anaerobic glycolysis tends to produce more lactic acid. This, study aims to determine the effect of massage in reducing lactic acid levels after anaerobic exercise. Research on experimental studies using the Experimental Pre and Post-test design.Student subjects, male, aged 19-20 years, amounted to 16 people, divided into 2 groups, anaerobic exercise group without massage and a anaerobic group treat with combine massage. Examination of lactic acid is carried out after anaerobic physical activity which is 200 m run. Data were analyzed statistically using t test. We found that lactic acid levels after anaerobic physical activity were lower in the combination massage anaerobic exercise group than the non-massage anaerobic exercise group. Massage can reduce lactic acid levels after anaerobic physical activity.
This study aims to determine the influence of achievement motivation and self-confidence on the achievement of North Sumatra Wushu Sanda Athletes in the North Sumatra Regional Championships. Subjects in this study were Wushu Sanda athletes who participated in the 2017 North Sumatra Regional Championship. The measuring instrument used in this study was the success of athletes reaching the final round, the scale of achievement motivation, and the scale of selfconfidence. Research Hypothesis: There is an influence of achievement motivation and self-confidence on athletes' achievements in the North Sumatra Wushu Sanda Regional Championship. The analysis used logistic regression. The results of the analysis show that the equation model can be accepted with the results of the Hosmer and Lemeshow Test of 0.920 (> 0.05). Nagelkerke R Square statistic of 0.201 shows the ability of achievement motivation and selfconfidence variables to explain athlete achievement by 20.1%. This means that there are other factors that can give more effect on the achievements of Wushu Sanda athletes who were not defined in this study. This might occur because of other psychological aspects that affect the match situation such as emotional regulation, strategy in dealing with opponents, concentration, and others. Thus it is recommended to conduct research with other psychological aspects to see the influence on achievement in the competition.
The study was conducted to determine the effect of orange juice on muscle damage and leucocytes count of Tarung Derajat Athletes. Subjects were 10 athletes of Tarung Derajat, divided two group: orange juice (OJ) and placebo (PLA), quasi experiment study. Participant were randomized to consume 300 ml OJ or 300 ml PLA and exercise of Tarung Derajat for 12 d. Blood sample were obtained at baseline and 48 post-intervention. Measurement of muscle damage (creatine kinase/CK) and leucocytes count. OJ consumption was no effect on CK level (p=0,296 > 0,05) and significantly correlated on leucocytes count (p=0,005 < 0,05). OJ have effect on exercise-induced decreases leucocytes count, but no effect on muscle damage.
The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of plyometrics circuit model based on the analysis of vertical jump movement on the increasing of jump power. This study used an experimental method consisting of two variables, namely the manipulative independent variable (exercise model) and the dependent variable (jump power). The research design was one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample used in this study was 10 students of the third semester of sports majoring in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER). The sample was taken by using purposive random sampling. Jump power data was measured by vertical jump test. The data analysis technique used Paired Samples Test. The prerequisite test used the sample normality test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test with α = 0.05) and the homogeneity of variance test (Levene Test with α = 0.05). Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test of plyometrics circuit training model to increase jump power, Tscore = 12.31 > Ttable = 1.83 (p<0.05).
