With global warming, environmental awareness has taken a front-stage. Awareness of environment is particularly important for the younger generation. Game-based learning represents a perfect platform for reaching teenager on this important topic. This paper presents the design, implementation and evaluation of a game-based learning system designed using the Neverwinter Nights role-playing shell. The game uses the narrative game design pattern. Initial evaluation of the system shows that the children enjoyed the game and thought that it was an effective and natural medium for conveying environmental awareness.
