Resumen:El presente ensayo se aproxima a los métodos de evangelización aplicados en la misión católica del Japón moderno temprano. El estudio parte de una reflexión historiográfica sobre la tendencia a asociar la política misional de las órdenes mendicantes con el concepto de tabula rasa mientras que se ha exaltado de modo exclusivo la accommodatio practicada por la Compañía de Jesús. Dentro de la misma revisión, se dilucida cómo los métodos de evangelización trascendieron entre diferentes órdenes religiosas y en distintos contextos geográficos de la primera era moderna.
