ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimana kualitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dengan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dan (2) Bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah buku guru, buku siswa, RPP, LAS, dan instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12Pematangsiantar T.A. 2014/2015, dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas yang berjumlah 70 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel, yaitu model 4D yang telah dimodifikasi. Proses pengembangan tersebut terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: define, design, develop dan disseminate. Hasil analisis data yang telah diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kualitas perangkat pembelajaranyang dikembangkan dengan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel di kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar adalah baik ditinjau dari valid, praktis dan efektif. Terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah, Perangkat pembelajaran, Pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah. PENDAHULUANPengetahuan manusia tentang matematika memiliki peran penting dalam peradaban manusia, sehingga matematika merupakan bidang studi yang selalu diajarkan di setiap jenjang pendidikan sekolah. Esensi pembelajaran matematika di sekolah bertujuan agar siswa memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kemampuan intelektual dalam bidang matematika.Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa tentang matematika, seperti: Perubahan kurikulum matematika, penggunaan metode yang lebih konkrit dan lebih dekat dengan siswa, dan juga pengadaan dan pengembangan media ataupun perangkat pembelajaran pendidikan matematika. Seperti pada tahun 2013 yang lalu, sebuah terobosan kurikulum telah dirancang untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan siswa dan pemahaman siswa tentang matematika.
This study aims to determine the mathematical problem solving ability of students in solving story problems with online learning. The method in this study used a qualitative descriptive research method. The results showed that there were differences in the ability to identify the elements that were known and asked, there were differences in the ability to choose and apply strategies or problem solving procedures and there were differences in the ability to examine and explain the results or answers according to problems between students with high, medium mathematical problem solving abilities. and low. There are 43% of students who have been able to follow and adapt online learning while 57% of other students have difficulty understanding the material being taught. There are 60.86% of students who have a high enough enthusiasm in online learning (online) but 39.13% of students are not happy if learning mathematics is done online due to factors that influence it such as technical constraints. There are 73.91% of students with a positive response to the problem of mathematical problem solving ability even though the learning is carried out online and 26.08% of students with a negative response.
Mathematics education research has undergone very rapid changes, marked by the formation of many mathematics education research organizations and the availability of accredited and indexed research publications. The purpose of this study was to see a description of past and present research and to determine the direction and trends of future mathematics education research. This research is a literature study by examining 106 articles that have been published in the Journal on Mathematics Education (JME-Sriwijaya Univ.) 2010-2017, then analyzed using descriptive analysis method. Past mathematics education research has been dominated by the issue of mathematics learning model / theory / curriculum design with a focus on primary education students as research subjects. Currently the research topic of mathematics education examines the media and learning technology with a study into the high-level thinking processes of students with an even subject. Future mathematics education research will also examine higher-order thinking skills which emphasize 4C (Four Cs: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration) abilities.
