Objective: understanding the repercussions of the social determinants of health on school children’s learning, linked to the public-school network, from the point of view of health and education professionals. Method: qualitative study, participant-action type, articulated to Freire’s Research Itinerary, through three moments: Thematic Investigation; Coding and Decoding; Critical Unveiling. The participants were 27 health professionals and 18 education professionals, working in four municipalities of Santa Catarina. Individual interviews and a Culture Circle took place between November 2020 and March 2021. The analysis was developed in the discussions in the Culture Circle, with reflection on the themes. Results: unfavorable living conditions, unhealthy habits, and weak social relationships tend to negatively influence children’s school learning. There is a need for the implementation of actions involving the health and education sectors, such as the Health at School Program. Conclusion: the articulated action of health and education professionals on social determinants is the way to promote health and children’s school performance, in order to minimize the effects of existing inequities.
RESUMO Objetivo: compreender os reflexos dos determinantes sociais da saúde na aprendizagem de crianças escolares, vinculadas à rede pública de ensino, sob a ótica dos profissionais da saúde e da educação. Método: estudo qualitativo, do tipo ação participante, articulado ao Itinerário de Pesquisa de Freire, percorrendo três momentos: Investigação Temática; Codificação e Decodificação; Desvelamento Crítico. Participaram 27 profissionais da saúde e 18 da educação, atuantes em quatro municípios de Santa Catarina. Realizaram-se entrevistas individuais e um Círculo de Cultura entre novembro de 2020 a março de 2021. A análise desenvolveu-se nas discussões no Círculo de Cultura, com reflexão dos temas. Resultados: as condições de vida desfavoráveis, hábitos pouco saudáveis e as relações sociais frágeis tendem a influenciar negativamente na aprendizagem escolar das crianças. Há necessidade de implementação de ações envolvendo o setor saúde e educação, como o Programa Saúde na Escola. Conclusão a atuação articulada dos profissionais de saúde e educação sobre os determinantes sociais é o caminho para promover saúde e o desempenho escolar infantil, com vistas a minimizar os efeitos das iniquidades existentes.
Objetivo: refletir com profissionais atuantes na Atenção Primária à Saúde sobre os desafios para o desenvolvimento de ações de promoção da saúde e determinantes sociais da saúde durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Percorreu-se o Itinerário de Pesquisa, consistindo em três momentos dialéticos: Investigação Temática; Codificação e Descodificação; Desvelamento Crítico. Participaram doze profissionais de duas Unidades Básicas de Saúde, de um município de Santa Catarina, em quatro Círculos de Cultura Virtuais, realizados no segundo semestre de 2021, com aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Resultados: durante os Círculos refletiram acerca de duas temáticas: Promoção da Saúde e determinantes sociais; Pandemia e o retrocesso das ações de promoção da saúde. Conclusão: os profissionais dialogaram sobre o agravamento dos determinantes sociais na pandemia da COVID-19 e como é um desafio considerá-los diante do aumento das situações de saúde e doença.ABSTRACTObjective: to reflect with professionals working in Primary Health Care on the challenges for the development of health promotion actions and health social determinants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: professionals discussed the worsening of social determinants in the COVID-19 pandemic and how challenging it is to consider them in the face of increased health and disease situations.RESUMENObjetivo: reflexionar junto a los profesionales que actúan en la Atención Primaria de Salud sobre los retos respecto al desarrollo de acciones de promoción de la salud y los determinantes sociales de la salud durante la pandemia del COVID-19. Método: estudio con enfoque cualitativo, tipo acción participante, basado en los supuestos de Freire. Se siguió el Itinerario de Investigación, compuesto por tres momentos dialécticos: Investigación Temática; codificación y decodificación; Desvelamiento crítica. Doce profesionales de dos Unidades Básicas de Salud, de un municipio de Santa Catarina, participaron de cuatro Círculos Virtuales de Cultura, realizados en el segundo semestre de 2021, con aprobación del Comité de Ética en Investigación. Resultados: durante los Círculos se reflexionó sobre dos temas: Promoción de la Salud y determinantes sociales y; la pandemia y el retroceso de las acciones de promoción de la salud. Conclusión: los profesionales discutieron el empeoramiento de los determinantes sociales en la pandemia del COVID-19 y el desafío de considerarlos frente al aumento de las situaciones de salud y enfermedad.
Objetivo: compreender as percepções dos acompanhantes que aguardam notícias de seus entes queridos que estão em cirurgia, sobre a utilização da música como estratégia para promover saúde no hospital. Método: estudo descritivo, exploratório, qualitativo, fundamentado nos pressupostos teóricos da Promoção da Saúde, com a participação de 15 acompanhantes que aguardavam notícias de seus entes queridos em uma sala de espera no ambiente hospital. Realizaram-se entrevistas semiestruturadas e os dados foram organizados e analisados conforme análise de conteúdo. Resultados: os participantes destacaram algumas possibilidades para promover saúde na sala de espera de cirurgia do hospital, como a música, a qual proporciona distração da realidade preocupante, felicidade, vida, alegria, esperança, sensações boas, ânimo e tranquilidade. Considerações finais: a música destaca-se como tecnologia para promover saúde, despertando sentimentos positivos durante as intervenções musicais no hospital. Portanto, faz-se necessário ampliar a discussão e utilização da música como estratégia para promover saúde no âmbito hospitalar.
Tem-se por objetivo compartilhar a experiência de estudantes de enfermagem na realização de atividade educativa com agentes comunitários de saúde (ACS) sobre a relevância da visita domiciliar (VD), destacando suas facilidades, dificuldades e as possibilidades para aprimorar o seu trabalho na comunidade. A educação permanente foi desenvolvida em setembro de 2021, tendo como fundamentação teórica os pressupostos de Paulo Freire. Contou-se com a participação de 32 ACS, atuantes em três Unidades Básicas de Saúde de um município do Oeste catarinense, Brasil. Evidenciou-se facilidades na VD como: conhecimento do território, vínculo com os moradores e a capacidade de qualificar a ação da ESF. Algumas dificuldades foram apontadas: animais nas ruas, estabelecimento de vínculo com os estrangeiros, falta acessibilidade às residências, indisponibilidade de horários de alguns usuários e condições climáticas. Para cada dificuldade, os ACS refletiram sobre as possibilidades de resolver os problemas, em uma rica troca de saberes. Reflections with community health agents about the home visit Abstract: The purpose is to share the experience of nursing students in carrying out educational activities with community health agents (CHA) on the relevance of home visits (HV), standing out its facilities and difficulties and the possibilities to improve their work in the community. The continuing education was developed in September 2021, having as theoric foundation the pressuposed of Paulo Freire. There were counted with the participation of 32 CHA, working in three Basic Health Units in a municipality in western Santa Catarina, Brazil. They were evidencied easinesses in the HV such as: knowledge of the territory, link with residents and the ability to qualify the action of the ESF. Some difficulties were pointed out: animals on the streets, establishing link with foreigners, lack of accessibility to homes, unavailability of schedules for some users and climatic conditions. For each difficulty, every ACS reflected on the possibilities of solving the problems, in a rich exchange of knowledge. Reflexiones con agentes comunitarios de salud acerca de la visita a domicilio Resumen: Se tiene como objetivo compartir la experiencia de los estudiantes de enfermería en la realización de actividades educativas con agentes comunitarios de salud (ACS) sobre la relevancia de las visitas domiciliarias (VD), destacando sus facilidades y dificultades y las posibilidades de mejorar su trabajo en la comunidad. La educación continua se desarrolló en septiembre de 2021, teniendo como fundamento teórico los supuestos de Paulo Freire. Participaron 32 ACS, trabajando en tres Unidades Básicas de Salud en un municipio del occidente de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Se ha evidenciado facilidades en el VD, tales como: conocimiento del territorio, vínculo con los extranjeros y capacidad para dar calidad la acción de la ESF. Fueron apuntadas algunas dificultades: animales en las calles, establecimiento de vínculos con extranjeros, falta de accesibilidad a los hogares, falta de disponibilidad de horarios para algunos usuarios y condiciones climáticas. Para cada dificultad, los ACS hubieron reflexionado sobre las posibilidades de solucionar los problemas, en un rico intercambio de conocimientos.
