The study was aimed at developing a performance assessment instrument model for defensive lob learning. The research method used was Research Development method for developing an assessment instrument referring to eight stages of activity, including choosing good test criteria, analyzing the sport to be tested, selecting and looking for theoretical concept literatures, selecting test items, establishing procedures, administering expert judgements, testing the instrument, and testing the estimated level of validity and reliability. The participants involved were fifth grade elementary school students aged 11-12 years. The development of instrument referred to a performance test instrument with an individual performance assessment model. The analysis consisted of the estimation of content validity (Lawshe's CVR), test-retest reliability, and inter-rater reliability (interclass coefficient correlation). The results of the analysis showed that the reliability and validity of the assessment instrument obtained a good criteria significantly (p_value 0.05). The results of reliability and validity testing conclude that the developed performance assessment instrument model can be used to measure defensive lob skills in Badminton learning for Elementary School students.
The problem of the research was how to use Audio Visual for teaching style of physical education teacher in primary school. The aim of this research was to make physical education teachers understand teaching style which was socialized through learning media of visual audio. The research method used to reveal how the process of selecting the teaching style of the primary school education teacher was quantitative method by using survey approach obtained through questionnaire instrument and observation Participants in this study were primary school physical education teachers which were amounted to 31 people with age range 35-50 years. The results obtained from this study of the 11 teaching styles of teachers, there were 6 teaching styles used by physical education teachers in primary schools. There were command style, the practice style, and reciprocal style, the convergent discovery style, and the learner initiated style. Collection of teaching style was very essential to be conducted by primary school physical education teacher.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of super set weight training model and high protein diet on the changes in body fat levels for overweight and obese adult men. The method used in this study was true experimental design with the randomized subject control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were 30 overweight and obese adult male VIP Fitness Center members. Random sampling was used to determine 15 people to be included in the experimental group and 15 people to be included in the control group. The instrument used to measure the body fat percentage was Tanita. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by using the Paired Sample t-test and Independent Sample t-test analysis techniques with the significance α <0.05 based on data analysis. Both groups obtained significance of 0.00. Since the significant value was smaller than 0.05, then H0 was rejected. Therefore, at a 95% confidence level, it can be concluded that both groups experienced a decrease in body fat percentage, but the experimental group experienced a greater decrease in body fat percentage. Overweight and obese adult men who want to reduce their body fat percentage can apply weight training only. However, to get better results, they can apply the super set weight training model combined with a high protein diet.
This study aims to determine the effect of body weight training combined with a low carbohydrate diet and running combined with a low carbohydrate diet on reducing body fat percentage in overweight and obese young man. The research used pretest posttest group design experimental method. The sample consisted of 30 young man divided into two groups that had been strictly selected. Their body fat percentage was measured before and after the research program. The result was analyzed through paired sample t-test at a significance level of α 0.05 and the average difference test (independent sample t-test posttest) to get a better result. This study shows that body weight training combined with a low carbohydrate diet and running combined with a low carbohydrate diet have a significant effect on decreasing body fat percentage, but running combined with a low carbohydrate diet is better at reducing body fat percentage compared with body weight training combined with a low carbohydrate diet. Overweight and obese young man can apply body weight training combined with a low carbohydrate diet or run combined with a low carbohydrate diet to reduce body fat percentage, but to get the results of a reduction in body fat percentage running and low carbohydrate diets is more recommended.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
