Este artigo trata de uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre o transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (TEPT) em sobreviventes de câncer infantil feita no período de janeiro de 2007 a julho de 2012 nas bases de dados PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs, Academic Search Premier, Science Direct e Medline. Buscou-se investigar a presença e prevalência de sintomas de TEPT em sobreviventes de câncer infantil, fatores associados ao transtorno e implicações clínicas. Foram encontrados nove artigos publicados em diferentes revistas da área da saúde. Os resultados indicaram que os índices de TEPT em sobreviventes de câncer infantil são sempre maiores quando comparados aos irmãos ou amostras sem histórico da doença. Além disso, os sintomas de TEPT geram prejuízos psicológicos e sociais aos sobreviventes. Conclui-se que o câncer infantil pode ser considerado um evento traumático. Pacientes sobreviventes de câncer infantil podem estar em risco de TEPT. É importante o investimento em programas de prevenção em saúde mental e intervenção psicológica específica para esses pacientes, a fim de evitar o surgimento deste transtorno. Estudos tem mostrado um aumento nos níveis de estresse e outras psicopatologias em universitários. Porém, a busca por ajuda e a adesão a programas ou serviços de saúde mental nas universidades ainda é menor que a demanda. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os preditores de abandono entre estudantes de graduação, que se propuseram a participar de um programa baseado na Terapia de Aceitação e Compromisso para redução do estresse. Trata-se de um estudo longitudinal retrospectivo. No total, 44 estudantes iniciaram o programa e 21 completaram a intervenção. O índice de abandono nesta amostra foi compatível com estudos anteriores. Foram realizadas análises de regressão logística binária para identificar variáveis potencialmente preditivas de abandono. As análises apontaram como principal fator preditor de desistência a sintomatologia de depressão, que apresentou diferença estatisticamente significativa (p=0,021) na comparação entre os grupos. Assim, considera-se fundamental incluir, nas intervenções em saúde mental para universitários estratégicas específicas para esta sintomatologia, a qual pode influenciar significativamente a não adesão aos programas.
Este estudo tem como objetivo examinar a prevalência de estresse, ansiedade, depressão, inflexibilidade psicológica, dados sociodemográficos, clínicos e acadêmicos e a relação entre essas variáveis, em uma amostra de estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação do Rio Grande do Sul, além de comparar esses dois grupos quanto aos resultados. Participaram da pesquisa 574 estudantes, com idade a partir de 18 anos, de diferentes cursos e universidades, sendo 357 da graduação e 217 da pós-graduação. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, de levantamento, com questionários de autorrelato e coleta online. Os Instrumentos utilizados foram: Ficha de dados sociodemográficos e acadêmicos; Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Estresse; Escala de Estresse Percebido; Questionário de Aceitação e Ação para Estudantes Universitários. Os níveis de estresse, ansiedade e depressão foram considerados altos nesta amostra. A inflexibilidade psicológica mostrou uma correlação significativa com essas variáveis e mostrou-se preditiva de estresse percebido. Os estudantes de graduação apresentaram índices de estresse mais elevados que os de pós-graduação. Sugere-se investir em estudos que incluam a inflexibilidade psicológica e o estresse como variáveis investigadas e também como foco de intervenções com esta população.
Este estudo tem por objetivo realizar a adaptação do Acceptance and Action Questionnaire for University Students (AAQ-US), que avalia a inflexibilidade psicológica no contexto universitário. A amostra contou com 123 estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação, de universidades brasileiras, com idades entre 18 e 44 anos. As evidências de validade baseadas na estrutura interna da escala se deram pelas análises paralelas que indicaram a retenção de um fator, assim como a escala original e pela análise fatorial exploratória. O AAQ-US também apresentou boa consistência interna com α=.87 e Omega de McDonald =.70. Além disso, o AAQ-US apresentou evidências de validade convergente e discriminante, tendo correlações com procrastinação, variáveis de saúde mental e flexibilidade psicológica, como também validade de construto pelo método dos grupos conhecidos. Os resultados deste estudo indicam a validade do AAQ-US para o contexto universitário.
ObjetivoEste estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a presença de Transtorno de Estresse Pós-Traumático (TEPT) e a sua relação com a perceção da doença numa amostra de 65 jovens sobreviventes de cancro infantil, com uma média de idades de 19 anos (DP= 2,70) e que tinham terminado o tratamento, em média, há sete anos.MétodoForam aplicados instrumentos para obtenção de dados sociodemográficos e clínicos, de sintomas de TEPT – “Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist – Civilian” (PCL-C) e de perceção da doença – “Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire for Healthy People” (IPQ-RH).ResultadosA presença de sintomas de TEPT variade 9,2% a 18,5% na amostra, e a perceção da doença esteve correlacionada com os sintomas deste transtorno. As subescalas Representação Emocional e Coerência da Doença (IPQ-RH), foram preditoras dos sintomas de Reexperiência (β = 0,0370; p < 0,01; β = 0,261; p<0,05, respetivamente). A subescala Representação Emocional (IPQ-RH) também foi preditora de sintomas de Esquiva (β = 0,330; p < 0,001).ConclusãoConcluiu-se que a perceção da doença deve ser investigada para prevenir os sintomas de TEPT em sobreviventes de câncer infantil.
