RESUMO: O intuito deste artigo é realizar um mapeamento dos podcasts existentes no Brasil e que são utilizados como ferramenta para disseminação de temas voltados ao meio ambiente. Para tanto, foi analisado o uso desse modelo de mídia de comunicação e o seu fator de conscientização ambiental. Em termos metodológicos, a pesquisa foi qualiquantitativa e exploratória, consistindo no levantamento de 20 podcasts de acesso gratuito e disponíveis na web. Foram contabilizados 1.189 episódios divididos desigualmente entre 20 podcasts. A partir da Análise de Conteúdo (AC), identificou-se que a maioria dos podcasts é produzido em São Paulo e surgiu no ano de 2018. Eles são publicados semanalmente e a maioria em formato de entrevista. Notou-se ainda que o tema ambiental de maior ocorrência é sustentabilidade. Apesar de esta mídia ser relativamente recente, especialmente no Brasil, os podcasts têm se disseminado e instigado debates sobre o meio ambiente, inclusive no que se refere à Amazônia, que é, entretanto, temática ainda pouco discutida nessa plataforma digital.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: comunicação; internet; áudio; cibercultura. ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to map the podcasts that exist in Brazil and are used as a tool to disseminate themes focused on the environment. For this, the use of this communication media model and its environmental awareness factor was analyzed. In methodological terms, the research was qualitative and exploratory, consisting of the survey of 20 podcasts of free access and available on the web. There were 1,189 episodes divided unequally between 20 podcasts. Anchored in the Content Analysis, it was identified that most podcasts are produced in São Paulo and emerged in the year 2018. They are published weekly, and most of them have the content based on interviews. It was also noted that the environmental theme of greatest occurrence is sustainability. Although this media is relatively recent, especially in Brazil, podcasts have disseminated and instigated debates about the environment, including about the Amazon, but it is still little discussed in this digital platform.KEYWORDS: communication; internet; audio; cyberculture.
Resumo Ao surgirem as primeiras repercussões da construção da Usina Hidrelétrica (UHE) Belo Monte, os povos indígenas se manifestaram continuamente contra o empreendimento. A imprensa acompanhou tanto o andamento das obras da Usina quanto as manifestações dos povos indígenas brasileiros em recusa à Usina. Diante disso, a pesquisa almeja investigar a visibilidade e representação desses povos em sites jornalísticos de maior circulação no Brasil e em outros 12 países estrangeiros. A amostragem se constitui de 54 matérias jornalísticas, publicadas entre 2005 a 2017. Por meio da Análise de Conteúdo (AC) de Bardin (1977), os resultados revelaram que os povos indígenas são descritos pelos jornais como “invasores” e “de menor capacidade”. Os jornais estrangeiros deram mais abertura a fala dos povos indígenas contra a UHE Belo Monte, do que os jornais brasileiros, que priorizaram o discurso do governo e dos interesses políticos.
A Usina Hidrelétrica (UHE) de Belo Monte é a terceira maior barragem do mundo. Localiza-se na Amazônia, morada dos povos indígenas, deslocados de suas terras para a construção da barragem. O objetivo do artigo foi identificar na imprensa internacional e nacional a construção dos povos indígenas que lutam contra hidrelétrica. Foram utilizados métodos quali-quantitativos para análise das matérias nos sites The Guardian, El País e O Globo. Analisou-se dia, mês, ano; título da matéria; tipo de publicação; local de autoria; fontes; e caráter da informação. Amostrou-se matérias referentes à usina e aos povos indígenas, entre 2005 e 2017. Obteve-se 18 publicações, oito no The Guardian, sete no El País e três no O Globo. A maior frequência (12) foi de conteúdos relacionados a luta dos povos indígenas por direitos e conflitos com o governo. O restante (6) abordou as mudanças no modo de trabalho, alimentação, e relação desses povos com a natureza. Apenas uma matéria foi produzida em Belo Monte. O Globo foi o que menos ouviu esses personagens, contudo o The Guardian abriu mais espaço para as fontes não oficiais. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Análise de Conteúdo; Belo Monte; Povos indigenas. ABSTRACT The Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant (UHE) is the third largest dam in the world. It is located in the Amazon, home of indigenous peoples, displaced from their lands for the construction of the dam. The objective of the article was to identify in the international and national press the construction of indigenous peoples fighting against hydroelectric. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used to analyze the materials on The Guardian, El País and O Globo sites. Day, month, year were analyzed; title of the subject; type of publication; place of authorship; sources; and information character. There were 18 articles published, eight in The Guardian, seven in El País and three in O Globo. The highest frequency (12) was related to the struggle of indigenous peoples for rights and conflicts with the government. The rest (6) addressed the changes in the mode of work, feeding, and relationship of these peoples with nature. Only one material was produced in Belo Monte. The Globe was the least heard of these characters, however The Guardian opened up more space for unofficial sources. KEYWORDS: Content Analysis; Belo Monte; Indian people. El objetivo del artículo fue identificar en la prensa internacional y nacional la construcción de los pueblos indígenas que luchan contra hidroeléctrica. Se utilizaron métodos cuantitativos para analizar las materias en los sitios The Guardian, El País y O Globo. Se analizó día, mes, año; título de la materia; tipo de publicación; lugar de autoría; fuentes; y el carácter de la información. Se amputó materias referentes a la usina ya los pueblos indígenas, entre 2005 y 2017. Se obtuvieron 18 publicaciones, ocho en The Guardian, siete en El País y tres en O Globo. La mayor frecuencia (12) fue de contenidos relacionados con la lucha de los pueblos indígenas por derechos y conflictos con el gobierno. El resto (6) abordó los cambios en el modo de trabajo, alimentación, y relación de esos pueblos con la naturaleza. Sólo una materia fue producida en Belo Monte. Os jornais ainda são as únicas fontes de informação sobre o meio ambiente. Diante deste fato e do grande impacto da construção da Usina Hidrelétrica (UHE) de Belo Monte, o objetivo do estudo foi realizar um levantamento das matérias jornalísticas sobre Belo Monte entre 2005 e 2017. Os dados foram coletados em sites de jornais de maior circulação nos continentes Americano, Europeu e Asiático. Foram registradas 1.188 matérias. O auge da divulgação ocorreu com o leilão da concessão da Usina e com a espetacularização de celebridades que vieram à Amazônia lutar contra Belo Monte. Percebe-se a visão histórica internacional sobre a Amazônia, assim como a ideia de uma Amazônia de propriedade mundial.
