Objetivou-se avaliar os efeitos da inclusão de óleos essenciais como aditivo na alimentação de aves matrizes pesadas sobre os parâmetros produtivos de pintos de corte. Foram utilizadas 18.358 matrizes Ross, na fase de Postura I, de 26 a 35 semanas, distribuídos em dois tratamentos, teste e controle, com sete repetições por tratamento. Na dieta do grupo-teste, foi adicionado, na ração, 100 gr por tonelada do aditivo comercial Saluto®. Foram comparados entre os tratamentos os índices de produção de ovos, eclodibilidade, mortalidade acumulada, viabilidade, número de ovos por ave alojada e número de ovos lavados. Observou-se que a utilização dos óleos essenciais na dieta de matrizes pesadas apresentou efeitos significativos (p < 0,05; p < 0,10) sobre os parâmetros avaliados. Houve aumento significativo na produção de ovos em relação ao grupo-controle e os índices de mortalidade acumulada foram menores para o tratamento com óleos essenciais em relação ao grupo-controle.
