Introdução O ensino de química nos tempos de hoje ainda se encontra estagnado. Essa estagnação é decorrente de um ensino sem contextualização e didática que faça com que o aluno não se interesse. Efeito cascata desse fator surge o desinteresse, desânimo, faltando-lhes a vontade de estudar, e consequentemente não aprendendo o que futuramente seria útil tanto na vida acadêmica como socialmente e culturalmente. O conteúdo de química na escola não pode ignorar a realidade, deve permitir a oportunidade dos alunos tornarem-se cidadãos capazes de compreender o mundo natural que os rodeia, e de interpretar, do modo mais adequado as suas manifestações. O ensino tradicional mostra-se totalmente contraditório a esse pensamento, utilizando atualmente de uma metodologia que o educando exercesse um papel de uma maquina registradora, decorando formulas, reações e propriedades, sem nenhuma ligação com o seu contexto social, causando o desinteresse na área. Com base nisso observou-se uma necessidade de buscar uma didática diferente para abordar o ensino de uma ciência que esta completamente vinculada com a vida e o dia a dia de todos. Com o objetivo averiguar a intervenção da contextualização e investigação como ferramentas no ensino de química, através de uma aula experimental de cunho investigativo e uma segunda parte teórica contextualizada utilizando como temas geradores de discussão ácidos e bases, a química dos carboidratos, lipídios e a química das proteínas.
