Este estudo tem como objetivo verificar a alfabetização financeira de estudantes universitários de uma universidade do Sul do Brasil, por meio da análise do comportamento na atitude de consumo, o conhecimento relacionado a investimentos e organização financeira. Também foram consideradas variáveis sociodemográficas, como idade, sexo, renda. Como variável de controle foram usadas as dimensões conhecimento financeiro, organização e atitude financeira, denominada como alfabetização financeira, correlacionada às variáveis sociodemográficas. Para executar o modelo foi realizada uma pesquisa survey enviada aos estudantes universitários de todos os cursos de graduação da universidade objeto de estudo. A pesquisa resultou em 276 respondentes e as informações foram testadas através de regressão linear múltipla. A motivação para realização deste estudo é identificar se os estudantes universitários são alfabetizados financeiramente e se a alfabetização é afetada por variáveis socioeconômicas e demográficas.
