Body image distortion has been linked with mind, emotion, sensation and strongly related tosize, and shape of individual performance. This research aimed to investigate the perception of bodyimage for adolesscent in the second grade of senior high school in SMAN 1 Bogor. A qualitative designwas used to conduct this research by using indepth interview with phenomenology approach. Six students, who were all women, consist of three students were overweight/obese and the other were lean.Allof students were interviewed regarding their perception related three domain areas which were: bodyperception, perception of current body and efforts for achieving the ideal body composition shape. Thefindingsindicated the three student who were overweigt/obese pointed out that they were happy andacceptedwith their performance but they were not better performing. The other of three student whowerelean stated that they had many perception with their body image such as: thin, was not goodlooking, andunbalancing high and weight. Almost all of the students had a similar perception abouttheirbody image whether they were overweight/obese and lean. They were not unhappy with their performance, but they had the same opinion about ideal body shape.
Diabetes mellitus and cholesterol disorders are a lethal combination that places patients with diabetes 2-4 times more at risk for developing macrovascular and microvascular complications. Risk factors for Diabetes with Hyperlipidemia include age, sex, lifestyle, metabolic conditions that affect the metabolism of plasma lipoproteins, insulin deficiency. This study aims to know determine demographic data (age, sex, and length of stay), to know results of the laboratory tests and to know description of the therapy. The study was conducted descriptive with a cross sectional design, retrospective data collection methods from patients medical records of diabetic with hyperlipidemia at the hospital inpatient installation in January-December 2019, with 130 sample patients medical record. Result presented as a percentage table. The mean results of the study based on the highest patients demographics were at age 51-60 years as 40%, the highest gender was females 56%, based on the highest length of stay was 3 days 54%. Initial fasting glucose examination with the highest percentage >126 mg / dl of 78.5%. Total cholesterol examination with the highest percentage >200 mg / dl was 84.6%, triglycerides with the highest percentage >150 mg / dl was 15.4%, LDL with the highest percentage >100 mg / dl 79.3%. The highest use of oral antidiabetic was 52.30%, long-acting insulin was 40.70% and oral antihyperlipidemia was 77.60%. The statin class has been shown to have an effect in preventing complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of guava and melastoma malabathricum linn leaves mixed gel activity as anti-microbial and wound healing in experimental rats (Sprague dawley). The thick extracts of melastoma malabathricum linn and guava leaves were made in a gel dosage form with a concentration of 4% and 6% and clindamycin as a positive control. This study used experimental laboratory methods, and the population in this study were white male rats and was carried out in the Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Laboratory, National Institute of Science and Technology. The pharmacological activity was tested in the form of a gel dosage formula, and the rats were made diabetic through an inducing agent, namely alloxan, then the potential of the extract was seen in repairing diabetic wounds in male rats. Melastoma malabathricum Linn and guava Leaves extract gels have an effect in healing diabetic-induced rat wounds using alloxan. This can be seen from the change in the diameter of wound healing. Secondary metabolites of both plant materials are thought to provide anti-microbial activity and stimulate wound healing which helps epithelial cells and tissues so that they regenerate. The chemical content in the extracts of the test preparation has different mechanisms in helping the healing process.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
