A Doença de Crohn (DC) é uma doença inflamatória idiopática crônica que causa lesões saltadas e inflamação transmural da boca ao ânus. A prevalência da DC está aumentando em todo mundo em adultos e crianças, e para isso o estudo busca por terapias nutricionais que melhorem a qualidade de vida desses pacientes, e diminuindo os sintomas de diarreia, dor abdominal, sangramento retal, febre, perda de peso e fadiga. Objetivo: analisar a eficácia das intervenções nutricionais tanto para o tratamento quanto para o prolongamento da remissão dos portadores da Doença de Crohn. Metodologia: trata-se de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, através de buscas realizadas nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e National Library of Medicine (PubMed). Foram selecionados estudos originais, sem delimitações de linguagem ou temporalidade que atendessem a questão da pesquisa. Resultados e discussão: nos estudos examinados os tratamentos dietéticos obtiveram dados de eficácia da literatura para Nutrição Enteral Exclusiva (NEE) em crianças recém diagnosticadas com DC independentemente da idade, induz a remissão clínica no primeiro surto ou durante as recidivas, induz cicatrização da mucosa e transmural, tem efeito positivo na saúde óssea, associada a melhora do estado nutricional e melhora da atividade da doença. Considerações finais: os estudos revelaram evidências significativas com a Nutrição, desde a manipulação dietética até a Nutrição Enteral (NE), que desempenham um papel essencial no tratamento da DC.
