Objetivou-se avaliar a adaptação à universidade e a sua relação com a ocorrência de Transtornos Mentais Comuns (TMC) em graduandos de enfermagem. Estudo analítico, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa dos dados, realizado com 92 graduandos de enfermagem de uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior de Minas Gerais. Para coleta de dados foram utilizados um questionário sociodemográfico e acadêmico, o Questionário de Vivências Acadêmicas-reduzido (QVA-r) e o Self-Reporting Questionnaire(SRQ-20). Observou-sebom nível de adaptação entre os participantes, commelhores escores nadimensão Carreira e escores inferiores na dimensão Pessoal. Encontrou-se um indicativo de TMC de 43,5% e uma correlação inversa com adaptação à universidade, indicando que quanto melhor a adaptação, menor a probabilidade de TMC. Os achados evidenciaram que o processo de adaptação à universidade está relacionado à saúde mental dos graduandos e indicam a necessidade de intervenções direcionadas à adaptação acadêmica como estratégia de promoção da saúde.

Os enfermeiros por atuarem na linha de frente da COVID-19 e estar na maioria das suas práticas no atendimento das pessoas em enfrentamento a doença, acarretando consequências emocionais e físicas à sua saúde perante a pandemia. Tem como objetivo descrever a experiência de profissionais de enfermagem no enfrentamento da COVID-19 no contexto hospitalar. O presente trabalho é de caráter descritivo, relato de experiência realizado em saúde hospitalar de um hospital público terciário, no interior de Minas Gerais, no período de novembro a dezembro de 2021. A pandemia veio nos causando situações de ansiedade e medo, não apenas na assistência aos pacientes contaminados com o COVID-19, mas também, com rotinas estressantes e exaustivas predispondo ao nosso cansaço físico e mental, necessidade de capacitação técnica, uso adequado dos equipamentos de proteção individual, e prestação de assistência de qualidade. A vivência com a pandemia nos oportunizou a reflexão de que tais condutas se tornem hábito mesmo após o período da pandemia, coloca em discussão a estrutura das unidades de terapia intensiva existentes no país, sendo primordial a capacitação técnica e científica dos profissionais de saúde, garantia no fornecimento dos equipamentos de proteção individual e suporte psicológico a esses trabalhadores.
A vivência acadêmica tem início com o ingresso do estudante na universidade e demanda, entre outros aspectos, adaptação a um novo modelo de educação que exige maior autonomia na construção do conhecimento e formação profissional por parte dos estudantes. Este período pode se tornar bastante difícil quando os alunos não conseguem se adaptar, de forma satisfatória, aos novos modos de aprendizagem e socialização, uma vez que a adaptação à universidade implica em várias mudanças, sejam relacionadas à acomodação de novos hábitos, ou à incorporação de novos comportamentos e conhecimentos. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo avaliar as vivências acadêmicas de estudantes matriculados no curso de graduação em Enfermagem. Trata-se de um estudo observacional, descritivo, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa dos dados, realizado com estudantes matriculados no Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem de uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior de Minas Gerais. Os alunos foram selecionados através de amostragem aleatória simples considerando todos os períodos do curso. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de dois instrumentos autoaplicáveis: um questionário sociodemográfico e acadêmico e o Questionário de Vivência Acadêmica-reduzido (QVA-r). Os dados foram analisados no programa Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS), versão 21.0. Esta pesquisa foi submetida ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa com Seres Humanos da instituição, aprovada conforme parecer nº 1.226.066 e realizada de acordo com os padrões éticos exigidos pela Resolução 466/2012, do Conselho Nacional de Saúde, sobre pesquisas envolvendo seres humanos. Participaram deste estudo 92 estudantes, a maioria do sexo feminino (88,0%), de cor branca (64,1%), com idade variando de 18 a 43 anos completos (média de 22,26 anos, mediana 22,0 anos, desvio-padrão 3,34 anos), estado civil solteiro (94,6%), procedentes do local da pesquisa (50,9%), sem vínculo empregatício (92,4%). Em relação às Vivências Acadêmicas, os melhores escores foram obtidos na dimensão Carreira (3,85), na dimensão Institucional (3,79) e na dimensão Interpessoal (3,77). Escores inferiores foram observados na dimensão Estudo (3,52) e na dimensão Pessoal (3,32). Os estudantes procedentes da cidade onde o estudo foi realizado apresentaram melhores escores de Vivências Acadêmicas na dimensão Institucional que os alunos procedentes de outras cidades, cujas diferenças foram estatisticamente significativas (p=0,04). As demais variáveis sociodemográficas e acadêmicas não apresentaram diferenças estatisticamente significativas. Os estudantes de enfermagem participantes deste estudo apresentaram melhor adaptação às vivências acadêmicas relacionadas ao seu envolvimento no curso e projeto vocacional, à satisfação com a instituição que frequentam, às atividades extracurriculares e ao relacionamento interpessoal. Em contrapartida, apresentaram maiores dificuldades de adaptação às variáveis pessoais e ao envolvimento no estudo ou aprendizagem.
