O mercado do turismo a nível nacional tem, nas últimas décadas, se destacado em sua contribuição ao desenvolvimento social e econômico do país, com o aumento do número de turistas estrangeiros, melhoria da infraestrutura e pelo fato de ter sediado megaeventos, colocando o Brasil no centro das atenções mundiais. Este avanço do setor trouxe a necessidade de expansão e diversificação dos serviços ofertados, criando novos segmentos que se adequem às necessidades de cada público. Surgem novos tipos de turismo como o turismo de aventura, urbano, de megaeventos, ecoturismo. Essa diversificação trouxe também o aumento da criação de meios de hospedagem alternativos. O objetivo deste artigo é fomentar discussões acerca do turismo acessível e de um meio alternativo de hospedagem, o hostel, de custo mais baixo e espacialmente acessível, de forma a possibilitar o turismo a um maior número de pessoas. Para tanto, procurou-se investigar inicialmente a filosofia dos hostels por meio de Revisão de Literatura, de forma a trazer elementos que possam contribuir na produção de espaços de hospedagem acessíveis que se relacionam com o meio em que se insere. Tendo como recorte espacial de estudo, a Praia do Pontal do Maceió em Fortim no Ceará que vem, nos últimos anos, se desenvolvendo economicamente e apresentando um rápido crescimento no número de opções de hospedagem tanto de custos elevados como alternativos. Trata da funcionalidade do espaço urbano no que diz respeito às condições de mobilidade e acessibilidade dos pedestres, com ênfase nas pessoas com deficiência visual (PcDV). Objetiva avaliar as condições de acessibilidade para estas pessoas. Recorte espacial-trecho da Avenida Bezerra de Menezes-corredor de grande fluxo em Fortaleza, após obra viária concluída em 2015. A metodologia se apoiou em: Entrevistas; Avaliação Pós-Ocupação; Passeio acompanhado e Percursos comentados. A metodologia foi importante para o entendimento de como as PcDV se relacionam com a cidade, permitindo, ainda, uma melhor comparação das referências normativas e o que realmente está sendo aplicado na cidade.

IntroduçãoSegundo a Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU), existem 191 países que reconhecem direitos das pessoas com deficiência e, somente 50 desses países possuem uma legislação ampla e avançada que contempla essas pessoas, o Brasil é um deles. A principal tarefa das normas de acessibilidade feitas pela Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas é a de romper obstáculos e ir além de dar diretrizes projetuais, formando uma cultura de inclusão e posturas perante o deficiente. Neste sentido, o decreto Federal nº. 5.296/2004 vai na mesma direção, do respeito ao cidadão, da prioridade e ao mesmo tempo considerando que a acessibilidade deve fazer parte dos atributos que compõem o espaço urbano e edificado, esclarecendo sobre conceitos, como desenho universal, paradigma que aponta para uma abordagem holística e integrada do design, envolvendo desde o planejamento do espaço da cidade até os detalhes na concepção de produtos.Aproximando-se do tema a ser abordado no artigo, apontamos para a contribuição principal que um profissional da Arquitetura pode oferecer na produção espacial. O presente artigo investiga as condições de acessibilidade para as Pessoas com Deficiência Visual nos Terminais de Ônibus, de acordo com as Normas vigentes e pelos discursos dos participantes in loco. Para isso, foram utilizadas as metodologias: poema dos desejos, percursos comentados, passeio acompanhado e avaliação pós-ocupação.
