220 Oklahoma State sophomores marked items in the MMPI protocol they would object to answering. From this group, protocols of 60 males and 60 females were selected for item analysis. Females reject significantly more items and each item more times than males. Rejection rates by clinical scale and by an arbitrary set of categories are also explored. The possibility that some rejected items belong to no clinical scale is also examined. Cross validation is suggested and the effects of removing rejected items postulated.
