Psychological readiness to endure the difficulty during training and battlefield is essential to develop a mentally strong armed uniform recruit. In order to assess their current psychological enthusiasm of armed uniform recruit. The aim of this study was to identify the differences in psychological readiness among three armed uniform package unit based on the seven readiness factors. A total of 278 respondents consist of 131 respondents from Suksis, 78 respondents from Palapes and 69 respondents from Wataniah participated in this study. They were asked to complete a Psychological Skills Inventory for Sport (PSIS-R-5) questionnaire in this study. The questionnaire contained with seven factors, which are motivation, confidence, anxiety control, mental preparation, team emphasis, concentration, and cognition. The questionnaire used 5 scales likert from scale 1 for 'Strongly Disagree' to scale 5 for 'Strongly Disagree'. The result shows that there are significant different of psychological readiness between these armed uniform package units. Wataniah unit has the greatest psychological readiness by manipulated six from seven factors compared to the Suksis and Palapes. Among seven factors of psychological readiness, six of them shows that there are significant different between Suksis, Palapes and Wataniah which are motivation, confidence, anxiety control, team emphasis, concentration, and cognition except mental preparation that not show any significant different among the threearmed uniform package unit. In conclusion, although the armed uniform unit has a similar role and practice, however, psychological readiness among the show a significant different except mental preparation. This indicates that the participant has no idea about why they choose to participant in armed uniform package unit.
This research disentangles and validates the underlying factorial-structure of Digital Experiential Value (DEV) measurement scale and subsequently investigate its psychometric properties. The analysis was based on a sample of 400 mobile shoppers, collected via online questionnaire. To confirm and validate the factorial structure and assess the psychometric properties of DEV, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was executed. To establish the homological validity of DEV, a structural model was developed to examine the effect of DEV on Total Digital Experience Quality (TDEQ). It is unveiled that DEV is a 2nd-order formative seven-factorial structure. Constructs and its scales has adequately met the psychometric criteria, thus could permit interpretation of results confidently. The findings have important implications for future research directions and management of mobile shopping industry.
This study determine the most significant physical fitness and anthro-energy intake components in identifying the talents among female adolescent field hockey players. 45 players from Terengganu sport academy were assessed in physical fitness and anthro-energy intake measurements. The first rotated PCAs presented 8 components as the most significant physical fitness components. The second PCAs depicted 7 componenets as the most crucialanthro-energy intake components. HACA classified the players into 3 groups: high, middle and low performance. The precision of classification using standard, forward and backward stepwise mode have yielded 95.56%, 97.78% and 97.78%. Therefore, certain physical fitness and anthro-energy intake components are important to identify the players. Effective modified training should consider the performance related components.
This study aims to test the reliability of the translated TEOSQ instrument based on gender, team and individual game with a specific focus to the dispositional approach on the athlete's performance in task and ego orientation in Malaysian setting.193, M age = 17.38±1.92; femaleThe performance of dispositional Motivation was evaluated by adopting and back of TEOSQ in Malaysian language. The overall alpha (α) of 0.79 and 0.83 for both ego and task orientation. reliability in both types of sport as well as in gender category after been translated in Malaysian language. It also sh prepared, focused on mastering skill and wanted to perform better in sports engagement. The instrument shows a good reliability in both types of sport as well as in gender category after been translated in ows that athlete in team sport and female athletes are more prepared, focused on mastering skill and wanted to perform better in sports engagement. evelopment athletes; motivation; reliability.
PurposeThe purpose of this paper was to establish the psychometric properties of the Asian Family Characteristics Scale (AFCS) in the Thai population.Design/methodology/approachThe 30-item AFCS originally developed in the Malay language was translated into Thai. Thai (n = 384) and Malay (n = 500) participants in Study 1 responded to the AFCS in their respective languages. The data were subjected to a confirmatory factor analysis with a measurement invariance test. In Study 2, Thai participants (n = 495) filled out the AFCS and Chulalongkorn Family Index, International Personality Item Pool-NEO, Self-Compassion Scale, Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and Satisfaction with Life Scale.FindingsStudy 1 showed that the measurement model of the Thai AFCS fit the data from the Thai population. The measurement invariance test confirmed that the structure and meaning of the AFCS are equivalent across the Thai and Malay samples. Study 2 demonstrated the AFCS's convergent validity by showing that the AFCS score had a positive correlation with the Chulalongkorn Family Inventory, self-compassion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, satisfaction with life and a negative correlation with neuroticism, depression, anxiety and stress. The AFCS's discriminant validity was supported by nonsignificant correlations with extraversion and openness to experience.Originality/valueThis paper is an attempt to develop a family characteristic measure specifically for the Asian population. The results provide empirical evidence for measurement invariance and validity of the scale in another Asian language, enhancing its cross-cultural generalizability.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
